taking longer and longer to download and patch.
torrent download takes forever (eta 3+hours) i gave up on that and its not my connection.
direct download from browser takes around 15-20 minutes with 100mbps internet connection.
then after installing you have to patch it which takes about 5-10 minutes.
all for a file no bigger than a few gigs... i feel like i could fresh install windows and update it in same amount of time it takes to download and patch the game.
seems could be easier to just download the installer with newer udpates and patches included to avoid the extra time to update/patch all this stuff.
might be easier on bandwith for server as well.

Yes I need to make a new client download - the last one was released in February.
There have been quite a lot of large files patched lately as I optimised nearly every map asset, monster and item model released in the last 3-4 years - hence the large patches lately, of which I am patching in gradually every time there is an update. -

i change hardware and drives and os frequently if you are like me i highly suggest you make a backup of the game folder after patching it... it can save you alot of time.
even if you dont change hardrives os etc the game files sometimes can get corrupted.
when something does go wrong just copy folder to new partiion , drive , etc .. with no hassle. -

My apologies for not updating the client download in recent months. I still have some large(ish) files to patch in and then I will update it.
Umpity makes an excellent point though - keep a copy or a zip/rar of your client folder after big updates so you can use that instead of reinstalling if needed at a later date
