Buying lvls? Dafuq.

I see a lot of minuses in the discussion. I don't think people agree with this. :P

i spoke to a few others and they think it is a good idea though, having an instant lvl pot bought with moolah. the minuses are probably cause it requires moolah so it would help the donators and be none benfitial for the non donators. just saying

not instant lvl 75 pots. but just 1 level. and well unlike some people alot of people have jobs so being able to sit down and play for solid hours of a day to level cant be done, and levelling characters takes week to just go up a few levels

Just my oppinion, as i see, alot ppl start with full donate, but they pay moolah for ppl leech them lvl ing, then when they reach max lvl, they will stop playing and just sit in terminus.

I know this donate pot can help ppl easy to lvl, and rich ppl can help server with donate, but player will quick bored. coz no need to do anything anymore for lvl ing, just buy pot for lvl (for rich ppl). No need mega looking for WP party. I think thats is not good for this community games too.

people afk to farm tears, if you joined a battlefield youd see it having like 10 or so people in it, also thats their choice to afk, so why should it affect the well yes donators who donate to the server but dont have time to manually level a new character if they wish to make one i have serveral noobie characters but honestly dont have the time to hardcore level them so i dont bother starting, id just want them finished so i can use them to have fun with whether it duelling, BF, PK, bosses, farming etc etc.

i see your point but thats based on a select few people who just sit to afk which is farming tears, sadly the gms being not very active is a big cause for that but thats life so it cant be helped lol

Anyway I can see both sides of such a potion, the good and the bad. Not saying it's gonna be put in the game though. Personally I think players should go through the levelling process to learn the job properly and meet new friends and make new alliances whilst doing so. Even players making alts should learn the new job since that levelling up will make them a better player at the end of it (and less reports to me of skills not working when they clearly didn't understand how the skill works or what it's meant to do, not meant to do!).

And lets face it guys, it's incredibly easy to level up here

I personally think this would be completely pointless and this post was made cause some people are just much to lazy to work for their levels

I kinda have mixed feelings on this.

While leveling I really wished for this kind of pot. And I have to say that now with the reduced exp, leveling takes much longer. Plus, PI is now a PK map, so that's a few WP/quests reduced already (if you don't want to go into a pk map while underleveled). And not everyone has time to do dailies every day if they're working. Not to mention.... dailies are INCREDIBLY BORING after you've done them once or twice. Much more so when you level multiple characters. So if there was one I'd also feel more free to experiment with new characters ~

On the other hand.. it's better to learn your character by doing the dailies. (But if you have an existing character, your new one will be on follow anyway :P Or if it's a healer it'll always be on follow lol). Secondly, it's good for people to have a shared experience of leveling aka torment to commiserate ;D And you can find friends while leveling (though again, if you are dual-logging with your higher-level char that's not gonna happen really). Also, it's also nice that a max-level character means something in terms of time spent in game. Whereas if it were buyable, you could have someone totally noob be at max level with max gears just cos of money~.

Both sides have merits :P

exactly its more money into the server and as i pointed before its not being *lazy* if you dont have the time to actually level, i work that much it took me like 2months to do my CQ when most of you others it took a few days (excluding the first one of coarse) and i know how to play other characters and i like playing other characters but having no time to level i just dont bother to even try and i just troll people with my templar which is boring since no one wants to play with me.

but isnt it their choice if they wish to be max lvl with armor ect with just using money, and more money means server is alive might bring along more donators who just want to have fun, and isnt so serious about things lol yes both sides have merits but is it really going to kill the anti donator haters if these pots were brought in? no i very much doubt it. i reckon its just cause it means donators dont have to work as hard to level and yes it sounds bad but im a donator and im a donator cause i work 70 hrs a week 6 days a week and i like this game so its easier for me to just use money, id love to know who on this game does that week in week out

I have been holding off on commenting as I wanted time to think this through properly so now I'll post.

I understand your point matty and I know you work quite a lot so your time is limited and you would of course rather be engaged in PvP than working through your levels etc. It is true that it takes a little longer to work through the lower levels but it's not THAT much longer, tbh it's barely noticeable in comparison to what it was like on retail. Also, the exp gain is only slower until level 75 and then it picks up quite rapidly thanks to Sedy reducing the amount of exp required to go from 75-85.

The biggest issue with having 'insta level' pots is the fact that it will encourage those who get their chars to 85 to just afk in terminus once their CQ is completed, Sedy is a one man army and has been giving us updates as often as possible but even an army has to stop and rest, last time he did that people came onto the forum and whined about how they were bored etc etc.

Contrary to your statement about the number of people who afk to farm tears, it is not a select few, it's a good deal more than that and they afk to farm those tears because they are bored and don't want to dm/farm or w/e. We already have % increase potions available and to be honest that should be enough or close to enough to counter the slower exp gain until level 70.

As for the donation aspect of it, you know I am a donator myself and I also have a limited amount of time to play due to work and a family to raise so having these pots for moolah would enable me to level all the chars I want and this would actually be beneficial to me. I am disagreeing however, based on the above points and a few more that I haven't mentioned, there's just no need for that sort of item to be made available.
