Well how bout a bigger map with a random spawn of chest? so even a newbie 85 can loot it not just always same ppl i saw everyday looting it? let it random spawn so ppl need to find it and loot.

I can't say I agree tbh. There are announcements every 5 minutes, starting 15 minutes before Fire Pit, and then one a minute before telling you to prepare and get inside etc. etc. if you want to wait outside in safety you take the risk of somebody already being there, so ofc it's going to get taken before you even get past the loading screen. The idea is to get inside and kill the other players so you can take the chest. Putting it on a bigger map wouldn't make any difference really - people would still take it straight away if they are prepared to camp the chest spawn point and fight off any incoming players, instead of waiting outside until the chest spawns.

When you die in Fire Pit you are thrown out to Terminus because when I made FP I wanted players to have one chance at it and then they are out, otherwise it would be a never ending game of who can push the most, which would just lead to frustration. Killing players as they enter is just part of how it works - taking out the enemy players so you can loot the chest. This isn't a battlefield or pvp map, it's an anything goes fight to win the chest.

Having it on some big map with a 15 sec pvp immunity buff wouldn't work. People would be entering and using their moolah mounts to get to the chest whilst immune to everything.

I don't see what is unfair about it as it is right now. It's simple - you enter as early as possible if you are confident or just before it starts taking the loading screen into account ofc, you fight, you have a chance of taking the chest.

I doubt I will change the way FP works tbh - but I would like to create more automated events like this so I'm happy to take suggestions when the time comes

@Cie wie, I did consider that but wouldn't it just be frustrating, having a longer looting time? It would give certain classes a massive benefit because their push skills would come off cooldown every time you tried to open the chest, leading to neverending fire pits lol.

Why don't you make some FP moolah untradeable, just like you did to FP fragment? Some FP fragments are tradeable, while some are not. People use their alt in FP. If you make some of moolah untradeable, people will have to use their main char to join. High eva classes have the best chance of getting the chest.

Fire Pit Fragment isn't actually tradable because you can't trade items from your quest inventory. The only time it was tradable was when I sent some to a giftbox when somebody lost the contents of the chest due to bugs.

I don't really understand why it matters if people go on their alt or their main. What purpose would it serve to make the moolah untradable, forcing somebody to use their main character? Can you explain what you mean?

If i may say this much. I've seen one person doing this a lot and it's rather annoying to see. Now admitably due to RL circumstances (Rotator cuff surgery) i have not been on HOWEVER. there is one person who does full buff up, followed by some immune style buffs (water tent) as well as other stuff that lasts for 1 min or lower, then hit a trans and log out till the moment FP starts, then hits one person with AoE from trans and gets a free few second loot time due to "Log into a PVP map here's some immunity" buffs and thus no one can touch him due to said buffs for some seconds + trans cancels out others. How is that considered fair? You want my honest opinion there shouldn't be this "x mins till FP" countdown. You should KNOW it's coming and get inside maybe via the website, maybe by just common knowledge. people are using the count down to know when to log off to know when to log back in and recieve immunity buffs...

Hmm I don't think the announcement countdown is the problem really - it starts dead on 12:00 and 00:00 every day, it's not difficult to time a login with or without the announcement.
However, the immunity buffs when you get inside FP are only last a few seconds, I think about 3s once you get past the loading screen but I would need to check. I guess they could be removed to be honest but I will be looking at ways to make FP act more like a dungeon, where you can't log back into that map, it will throw you back to Terminus.

Well despite it being a "short" time for the buffs. Three seconds is more than enough to make people waste pushes or pulls. and them not effect you. plus ignore any AoE bleeds thrown around. then the rest is up to the current trans or the current evasion or luck. it's rather annoying to see when someone takes advantage of the system like that

Yeh agreed. I put the short immunities to allow people to get their bearings when they entered without getting insta-ganked but didn't think of people logging in by the chest and abusing them.

Hmm I wonder if it might be better to have any damage interrupt opening the chest, not just push/pull/stun/sleep etc. Not sure if that would improve the FP experience or just become really annoying.

Im just thinking, its possible when u get in FP, ur wing and ur costume wont show up and IGN too? so ppl cant recognize u or u cant recognize ur friends?

when someone loots Fire PIt they are immune to everything for 10seconds so plenty of time to log out without someone hitting them, if you wanted to look at making FP more active or even more enjoyable is making it a transformation free map, so it means if people want to buff up they need to do it outside, but cannot enter in a tran to the map
reasons
1. stops people who just chill in anti stun trans mainly ones with high eva or temps since it takes longer then 10seconds to kill a temp specially if they are potting

2. it makes it that people actually have to kill for the chest when I enter normally a few die but several just log in under the box in anti stun tran and begin to loot, it is just boring and then if they don't win you still cant stop them from logging out cause you cant stun them or they just force log out which I find so noob

3. apart from no trans you could even look at when the timer hits 1min that people need to be inside, so it gives people 1min to clear the map so they can loot easier and if people miss out then they need to be quicker cause all I see is also eva classes and temps coming in with beastial and shield and absorb buff and anti stun buff and they begin to loot or as I said before they log in when its like 10seconds to start under the box in anti stun tran and you cant do shit to stop them unless you push them but high eva classes are hard to hit especially if they are using beastial.

most fire pits last no more then 10 seconds after box is looted cause the noobs log out or force log out so they don't die and the others well they die trying to fight or they kill some then die or what ever if you made the map harder to log out from since they cant run for portal which was awesome idea I laughed when I saw no portal. or you made it as I said which in due time would make it like the name ( fire pit) where if you aren't ready or good enough or careful you'll get burnt aka you will die before you can loot the box

that is just stupid really, cause even if it is possible its a waste of time since fire pit is a free for all arena I kill just about everyone there are a small few I don't kill or try to kill simply cause it is to time cosuming and when there are most of the time 5 people + not hitting 1 person isn't that big of a deal. if multiple friends join and wont atk each other then they can be just killed together via others

I like the "trans free map" idea actually - in fact I would like "trans free game"! :P Not sure if it will get implemented but it's certainly something to think on.

That's what makes Iris unique. Global cooldown, idk if it was actually used but I heard people said you once used it, caused huge DMG to the server.

As for my first suggestion, I'd say anyone log out while they're in FP would get ban from joining the next 1 or 2 FP. So basically, it works just like ban from participating in BF. Whoever has that ban buff on will not be able to loot the chest. And duration of buff should work like weekend event buff which means buff will run out when the time is up regardless of how long the person has been online. Duration should be 13h, 25h, 37h depends on how long you want to ban the player from joining FP. 1 additional hour is to make sure they won't be able to sneak in and loot the chest when their buff runs out cause if it is 12, 24 36 time different is about 1 to 3 minutes, so sneak looting is possible.

Cons:
- since it works like BF ban, you will get that debuff when you're dc-ed.

Argument against it: I notice no one dares to participate in FP with bad internet connection, so the chance of getting dc-ed is really small here compared to BF.

- there might be less people joining FP.
Argument against it: 2 FP per day. you can wait 1 day to do IDQ, 1 day banning from FP can't be that bad, and as I said, you won't join FP unless your net is good.

Ranking class with most advantage to least advantage, top down:

1. Wind Walker and Assassin, especially WW. Reason: high eva, low chance of getting hit =>high chance of getting chest. Additionally, mana shield is used. Especially WW because they have stun trap which last 5s, I'm not sure if it's actually 5s.

2. Saint and Prophet, especially Prophet. Reason: they have high MP, so mana shield => won't be cancelled while looting except getting stun/sleep/push however they can use trans. Especially Prophet because they have anti-debuff circles.

3. Templar and Champion. Reason: have 15s buff.

4. Sniper: some have decent eva.

5. The remain classes except Sharp Shooter.

Sharp Shooter: IDK where to rank them, but I'd probably rank between 1 and 2, so 1.5? lol Reason: sleep trap and decent eva for some players that choose eva build.

Second suggestion based on what I said above: looting chest will be cancelled even if the person has mana shield. So you can change DMG to MP works as DMG to HP.

Third and last suggestion: remove 1 minute announcement. You can make the chest be loot-able at any moment during the last 5 minutes, so people have to get in early because they can't know exactly when they can get the chest. Announcement when the chest is loot-able should be there to let us know rather than stand there and keep clicking on the chest.

WW trap is only 3 seconds, and bringing in a FP ban will just make to many QQ considering the amount that QQ about the BF ban so that's a silly idea, also shapshooters are useless for FP since their sleep bomb is easily canceled and everyone knows how to do it so you cant even rank them and eva on a sharpshooter is just stupid you get maybe half as much as youd get with dagger users they don't get beastial they don't get shields, the only class that would be the best for FP would actually be WW since their trap cant be canceled they have high eva. prophets would yes be the second best cause magic circle to stop push and anti stun tran = immune to everything other then bleed.

bascally I disagree to everything you've put but the "second suggestion" which id modify to say can you sedy make looting the chest exactly like raising a FM/CTF flag if you take damage or are bled then your looting is cancelled? it would allow actual PK before the chest is looted and it would make the nubs who only log in and then log out have to work for their prize,

I like the idea how they cant log in in the map and well hopefully you can try a trans free map solution cause
1 anti physical debuff = payaso
2 anti magic is radon
3 anti bleed is trag
4 anti stun is lizard
if you took away the ability to use trans in FP + if can make looting like flag raising I can vouch for many others to say FP would actually be worth logging into, since I got bored of trying since as I stated before nubs just log in using - size food and trans so they are tiny as hell with shields beastial and anti stun tran you cant do much to stop them, and I find it more enjoyable to actually have to fight for the box but with the number of nubs joining and all doing the same thing it is just boring

If i may ask... is there anyway to make the map "lock"? The moment the chest becomes active to loot is it possible to lock it till FP is won? Because i think that would also be a fun little idea as well. Just curious. It means you have to be IN and fight for it, not just run in and pick up the scraps of any fights before it.

Trans Free Maps that good but "Trans Free game" Please don't Trans are very useful in Dungeons ^^

as for FP if possible that you can separate the Moolah and the Fragment. Means there will be 2 boxes in FP box for Moolah and the other For Fragments. In my OPINION if i have wings i wont be needing the the Fragments i would rather loot the box of Moolah and clear out the people inside the PIT and Port In my Wingless Noob whose waiting outside the NPC and loot the Fragment.Its HARD and complicated but you need to WORK HARD to get what you wanted ^^
