SEASONAL EVENT: HALLOWEEN
It's nearly Halloween in Arcana!
Denubu has arrived in Terminus with a daily quest to hunt down Jack'o'Lantern* in selected dungeons. Hunt down Jack'o'Lantern throughout the Halloween period and collect Jack's Dicky Pins and Candy Bats to trade back to Denubu for Jack's Wheels mounts.

Jack'o'Lantern can also drop DNA that can be combined by Avery in Terminus into your very own Jack'o'Lantern battle pet. This semi-ranged magic melee pet can attack upto 6 targets at a time upto 6m away with every attack with a chance of reducing their All Defense!

Denubu also has a Halloween Store selling food, costumes and mounts, the Pet Exchange Store where you can exchange your collected Pet Summoning Pieces for pet summoning cards, Halloween quests, and free 1 hour Broomstick Hire.

Pumpkins have been placed all over Terminus and can be picked on the hour, every hour, for 5 minutes. Turn up your volume and listen out for the cackling witch and get picking and find the Pet Summoning Pieces and Candy Bats.

Sat 14th October - Sun 31st October: 5% Bonus Damage to Undead/Humanoid/Spirit monsters.
Sat 21st October - Sun 22nd October: x2 Reputation, x2 Experience and Skill Experience.
Sat 28th October - Sun 29th October: x3 Experience and Skill Experience, x1.5 Monster Item Luck, x1.5 Monster Gold, x1.5 Battlefield Points.

Seasonal event buffs are also being awarded every time a world boss is killed - everyone gets a buff!

Halloween in Arcana begins on the 13th October and runs until the 31st of October


MOOLAH TOPUP
From now until the end of October there is a 30% bonus to all Moolah Topups, including Mobile Phone payments. The additional 30% bonus Moolah will be included automatically in the amounts you see at the Topup page.

The Shopping Mall has been updated with Halloween related costumes, costume accessories, mounts, battle pets, mantle schematics, and weapon schematics, all with a 10% discount applied.

WEAPON SCHEMATICS
The Necromancer/Voodoo weapon schematics, usually only available from Catacombs dungeon, are once again available to purchased from the store during the Halloween period.

All of the mounts added in previous Halloween updates are once again available from the store, including Jack's Cars, Witches Brooms, Halloween Alpaca, and Ghost Bats.


COSTUMES
Halloween themed costumes are available to buy from the store, including Halloween Hat and Costume, Gothic Mini Top Hat and Costume, Mummy Hat and Costume, Bat Cat Backpacks, Cruxifixes, Devilish Wings, Blue Batty, Creepy Doll, Skull Sweeper, and Pumpkin Balloon.


PETS
Halloween themed battle pets are available from the store including Mumu's Pet, Eye Batty, Reaper, Pumpkin Boy, Bones, Arachni, Death, Wraith, and Jack.

OTHER UPDATES

PETS
Pet Unit Frame - Debuffs (already patched in some time ago)
Fixed a bug that would cause debuffs of other nearby pets to sometimes show on your pet. It was just a display glitch - they didn't actually have the effects of the debuff, just it's icon.

Pet Summon Scroll Tooltip Corrections
Skerris is Melee Physical, not Tank.
Mini Lisk is Ranged Physical, not Melee Physical.
Mini Rhine is Ranged Magic, not Melee Magic.

Pet Food Shield
Corrected a bug with the Pet Food Shield 40% and Pet Food Shield 60% causing them to give 80% Physical Absorb against Physical Ranged attacks instead of 40/60%.

Pet Skill Cooldown
The Bite and Whack skills had their cooldown changed from 10s to 12s to match their debuff of 12s. The last tick of damage will no longer be lost because of the skill overwriting the debuff when it gets reapplied.


MOUNTS
Stutter/Rubber-banding

Corrected an issue with instant mounts where you would sometimes get repositioned a few steps back (rubber-banding) if you used an instant mount while moving with the WASD keys.


ITEMS
Weapon Attack Range

The attack range of Daggers and Greatswords have been increased in line with skill attack range to prevent your character having to move into range when an AutoAttack is used.

The attack range of all Daggers have been increased from 1.2m to 1.5m in line with the majority of skills of the Dagger using classes.

The attack range of all Greatswords have been increased from 2m to 2.5m in line with the majority of skills of the Greatsword using classes.

Runemage Cloth Armor
Corrected an issue with this armor set getting glitched when used to reforge Mail armor and equipped by a Hybrid female.

Demon's Red/Blue/Purple Mantle Schematic
These mantles are once again available in the shop with a slight rework to their visuals to reduce their draw count.

Card Slot Creation Scroll
Corrected a client crashing bug when trying to use a Card Slot Creation Scroll on an item that already has the maximum 5 slots. Players that just got their Amanita's Earring will have noticed this issue as they already have the max 5 slots.

It's +40% Threat from Silver Control Spread's Mosquito In My Ear and -15% Threat from Silver Control Spreads Gloomy, +50% from Gold Control Spread's Mosquito In My Ear and -20% Threat from Gold Control Spread's Gloomy.


REFORGE
Weapon Reforge Display Bug

Corrected an issue when switching between the same weapon (e.g. 2 different Okeanos Swords) with different reforges - the 2nd weapon would continue to display the reforge of the 1st weapon.

Armor Reforge Tooltip
Corrected the "Reforged with Error!" in the tooltip of reforged armor in some cases. It will now correctly display what armor it is reforged with.


BATTLEFIELDS
Colosseum Matchmaking

The matchmaking system for Colosseum has been rewritten to fix the issue of players not always getting the correct opponent based on weekly Colosseum Points.

Battlefield Matchmaking
The matchmaking system for Deathmatch, Flagmatch, Battle of Atlantis, Capture the Flag, and Molten Arena, has been rewritten to fix the issue of players not always getting picked based on their entry time. The new system will now honor how quickly you accepted the invitation - so it's last in first out as intended now.

Colosseum Diminishment
If there are no kills after a period of time both players Max HP will be reduced.

Battlefield & Colosseum Points
The amount of win/lose points gained in the level 100 brackets of Colosseum, Deathmatch, Flagmatch, and Molten Arena have been increased slightly.

Battlefield Leader
When the leader is changed they will now receive a small heal when their Max HP is increased by the Leader buff.


MONSTER TRANSFORMATION SKILLS
Range

Monster Transformation skills now use your bonus Range/Melee Range stats.

Any additional range is now displayed in the skill's tooltip as Range: 1.1m (+0.65m) just like player skill tooltips.

Chance
Monster Transformation skills with a debuff chance have always been increased by any Accuracy stat you have on your character but the skill tooltip was not displaying it. The Chance % will now increase in the tooltip like it does in player skill tooltips.


CLASS SKILLS
Cooldown Bug (already patched in some time ago)
Corrected an issue with certain placed AoE skills (Eye of the Storm etc.) sometimes being on cooldown even though they do not show as being on cooldown on their quickbar icon. This could sometimes happen due to lag/latency while using skills in quick succession. The server would fail to use the skill for whatever reason but it was still putting it on cooldown and not updating your client to display the cooldown on the skill's icon.

Global Cooldown Issue (already patched in some time ago)
A similar issue to the Cooldown Bug - sometimes while using skills in quick succession when you had some lag/latency or the server was overloaded you might have received the message "Unable to attack in your current condition" and all of your skills went on cooldown for 1s - messing up your skill rotation. This would happen if you used some skills in quick succession but the server was still processing the previous skill.

The error message has been changed to "Skill already in use." and skills will no longer go on cooldown for 1s.

However, if you see the message "Unable to attack in your current condition." multiple times in quick succession, your skills will still go on cooldown for 1s. This is to prevent glitch casting multiple skills.

Stun Immunity Skills
Reworded the tooltips of skills that have Stun Immunity buffs to say "Grants immunity to Stun" instead of "Removes and grants immunity to Stun", since you cannot use skills when you are stunned.

Totem/Trap Skill Radius
Corrected an issue with the radius of Totem/Trap type skills sometimes being slightly smaller than stated in the skill tooltip.

This includes Snare Trap, Snap Trap, Smoke Bomb, Corruption Marsh, Timed Bomb, Adhering Terrain, Bomb Throw, Corrosive Charge, Disruption, Electric Current, Void, Deceitful Terrain, Scorched Earth, Celestial Sphere of Life, Hallowed Ground, Devine Sanctuary, Enchanted Ground, Moonlit Sanctuary, Pillar of Life, Nullified Ground, Pyre Sanctuary, and Thicket.

Damage Over Time Visuals
Corrected the positioning of the visual effect displayed for Magic damage over time debuffs from the feet to the body.

Class Healing Skills
These skills now heal for fixed amounts instead of a percentage of Max HP as they had scaled up way too high with the high amounts of Max HP that can be obtained by the Fighter and Warrior classes today. They will now heal for as much or slightly more for lower level, lesser geared characters, but much less for endgame equipped characters with high amounts of Max HP.

Just a few skill updates to help maintain threat on packs of monsters, including changing a low cooldown skill to hit multiple targets, cooldown reduction on a multi-target Provoke skill, and a rework to Consecration.

Changed to a multi-target skill that hits upto 5 targets in a 3m radius around the Knight.

Templar
Torrent Slash 2

Changed to a multi-target skill that hits upto 6 targets in a 3m radius around the Templar.

Fate
The cooldown of this multi-target damage skill with Provoke has been reduced from 38s to 30s.

Radiance
The radius of this multi-target damage skill has been increased from 2m to 3m.

Consecration
Consecration has been reworked into a totem/circle type skill that does damage to upto 12 enemies within a 3m radius and also leaves behind a circle on the ground for 10s that damages upto 12 enemies standing on it every 2 seconds. Compared to how it was before, with a debuff being applied for 10s with an 80% chance to upto 6 targets, this skill now has the potential to damage a much larger amount of enemies. If 20 are standing on it, only 12 will be damaged, but when some of those die, the remaining enemies will start to take damage from it.

Radius: 3m around the Templar's position when it's activated. It remains on the ground in that position.

Now reduces Movement Speed by -30%/-35%/40% and Physical Protection by -130/-170/-200 for 10s instead of reducing Movement Speed by -70% for 3/4/5s.

Frenzied Edge
The cooldown of this skill with Stun has been reduced from 30s to 26s.
Now uses MP instead of HP to activate.

Impale
The cooldown of this skill with Immobilize has been reduced from 24s to 18s.

Destruction 2
The bread and butter skill of the Vanquisher has lost it's mojo in recent times with the high amounts of Protection and Absorb available from gear, consumables and buffs. To help bring back some of the Vanquisher's burst potential in PvP, Destruction 2 will make use of a newly added mechanic to also ignore some of the target's Physical Absorb. This mechanic only works against players - it has no effect on absorb of monsters.

Now grants ALL skills the ability to ignore 20/30% of the target's Physical Absorb.

If the target has 60% Physical Absorb, it will be reduced by 30% of that 60%, which is 18%, not by a flat 30%, so the target will have 42% remaining.

10% > 7%
20% > 14%
30% > 21%
40% > 28%
50% > 35%
60% > 42%
70% > 49%
80% > 56%

This ensures that the target's Physical Absorb is never wiped out completely, but the more they have, the more is ignored.

Soul Blader

Changed from a 10m range debuff reducing Physical Damage Absorb by 100% for 1 hit to a 1.5m range damage skill that does 20/30% bonus damage, penetrating 40/50% Physical Defense, with a chance to reduce the target's Physical Damage Absorb by 40/50% for 5s.

Pacify
Corrected the missing animation.

Adventurer/Shadow Walker
Emergency Cure 2

Was: Heal for 10/14k HP instantly and 12/18k over 6s. Breaks on damage.

Now recovers 24/36k over 6s.
No longer breaks on damage.
Cooldown reduced from 120s to 90s.

Assassin
Skills have been reset. You will need to select your skills again when you login.

New: Bestial Instincts 3
The skill Void Assumption (900/11/1300 Physical Attack for 60s) has been replaced with Bestial Instincts 3.

Increases All Evasion by 30/35% and Movement Speed by 45/50% for 10s.
Efficiency 10/11.
Cooldown 60s.
Requires ranks 1 and 2 of Bestial Instincts 2 from the Shadow Walker skill tree to learn.

Spectral Dagger
Now does 15/20/25/30% bonus damage and penetrates 15/20/25/30% Physical Defense.

Phase Collision
The cooldown of this Physical Absorb reducing damage skill has been reduced from 90s to 60s.
Changed from Physical to Poison type debuff.

Terrify
Now penetrates 30/40/50% Physical Defense.

Shadow Walk
This buff granting Immunity to Direct Magic Damage for 5s now also grants Resist Magic Debuff, resisting new Magic debuffs upto efficiency 14. It does not clear existing Magic Debuffs, but prevents new ones being applied.

Hypnosis
Corrected the animation/visuals.

Sniper
Hit'n'Run

Now penetrates 10/20/30% Physical Defense, cooldown increased from 6s to 9s.

Firecracker
Duration of Immobilize increased from 3s to 4s and now does -4000/-5000/-7000 damage every 2s for 4s instead of -6000/-8000/-10000 after 3s.

Deranged Shot 2
Bonus damage increased from 5/7/10/12/15% to 10/15/20/25/30%.

True Alacrity
Corrected the missing animation.

Track
Corrected the animation/visuals.

Was: Heal for 16/20k HP instantly and 20/30k over 10s. Breaks on damage.

Bonus damage increased from 5/10/20% to 20/30/40%.

Explosive Blast 3
Bonus damage increased from 5/10/13/15% to 15/20/25/30%.

Scorched Earth
Increased the size of the visual effect on the ground to match the actual radius of the skill.

Cyclone
Now hits upto 6 targets in a 4m area around your target with a 10m range (increased by Range stat) instead of a fixed 4m x 15m area in front of you with no target required. This should make this skill much easier to use.


STATS
Evasion

Evasion is once again effective while Immobilized. It continues to be ineffective while Stunned, Mounted or Sitting.

Physical Protection
The amount of Physical Protection per point of Strength has been reduced from 0.06 to 0.04. For a moderately well geared level 100 plate wearing damage class focused on Strength, this will likely work out to be around 10% less Physical Protection.

Magic Protection
The amount of Magic Protection per point of Intelligence has been reduced from 0.06 to 0.04. Similarly, for a moderately well geared level 100 cloth wearing damage class focused on Intelligence, this will likely work out to be around 10% less Magic Protection.

Movement Speed
The Movement Speed cap of 2300 was not working correctly on the client side, allowing your Movement Speed to go above 2300. Because the server was correctly capping at 2300, this would cause your character's location to eventually become out of sync with the server causing it to update your client with the correct coordinates whenever you stopped or used a skill, causing your character to slide back to where it should be, preventing the skill from being used. This has now been corrected.


MONSTER SKILLS
Telegraphing (already patched in some time ago)
Optimized the telegraphing (red circles) system that warns of incoming monster AoE damage. They might have been using up a bit too much memory in some cases.

Catacombs
General Manu's Shatter

Corrected an issue with the Shatter ground splitting visual effect only displaying correctly in front of Manu and not behind. Those standing behind the boss will now see the visual properly.

Reduced the range of Shatter considerably. It was set to 100m previously but you can't even see monsters or their skill visuals beyond around 40m, so it has been reduced to 80m. 40m in front and 40m behind Manu.


DUNGEONS
Portals

Hopefully improved going through portals while keeping a movement key pressed causing you to end up in invalid areas of the map. This was a common issue in Magic Tower and also Laioha and possibly Deathmatch and Flagmatch battlefields.

Decomus
The monsters in the area before Zaras have been changed in Hard, Insane, and Hell Modes from Red/Blue Knights to Kubera Priest of Sacrifice as it is in Normal Mode.

Amanita's Nest
Client Crashes

A sound related bug that was eating up your computer's memory and causing the client to crash has been corrected.

Amanita
Corrected the damage of Amanita's area damage skills (the ones with red circles) as they were incorrectly set way too low in 75-84, 85-94, and 95-100 modes.

Corrected the missing visual effects of Amanita's skills in 75-84, 85-94, and 95-100 modes.

Shady Treeky
Corrected the damage of Shady Treeky slightly in all modes - they were incorrectly doing less damage than Mutul Worker.

Giant Towtul
Reduced the range of Giant Towtul's defense reducing debuff in all modes - it was set too high.


Amanita's Nest & Garden of Baphomet
Reward Interface

While you could already move to the RESULTS window without waiting for the timer to run out by clicking your reward's icon, it wasn't very intuitive.

The SKIP REWARDS button of the reward selection window is now SHOW RESULTS and clicking on it when you HAVE selected your reward already will move you to the RESULTS window without having to wait for the timer to run out. Clicking SHOW RESULTS when you haven't selected a reward will inform you that you will lose your reward and ask you to confirm (as before).

Friend Invite Bug
Corrected a bug causing you to get stuck in these dungeons and unable to logout if a friend invite was received and not responded to when using the Exit Dungeon button.


ACHIEVEMENTS
Title Achievements

There was an issue with the count of titles not getting carried across when you completed one of the Title Collector achievements. So you might have 50 titles and completed Title Collector I which requires you have 50 titles, and opened Title Collector II achievement which requires you to have 80 titles, but it will say 0/80 progress instead of 50/80.

This has been fixed and the next time you add a new title it will get corrected.

Map Loading Bug
Corrected a bug relating to the achievements system that would sometimes crash your client during map loading when logging in or moving to or from a dungeon.


GATHERING
Gatherable items that require something that you don't have can now be interacted with and will inform you of their requirement. Before, you could not interact with them at all - they were not clickable.

You will now be informed what item is required to gather something instead of just being told you don't have the required item. It will now say You need Mining Pick to gather this, or inform you that you don't have the required Assistant Skill etc. etc.
