I'm going to need a new laptop in the weeks to come that has better graphics. I'm going to be going into game art and design and I'd prefer a laptop over anything but if I have to go desktop I will. Anyone can help me find a good deal on laptops or desktops (Desktop, Moniter, Mouse, and Keyboard)? I need something to run graphic design as flawless as possible! Please help

    Just a bit of what my computer could do.

    I was able to run-

    -WoW
    -Guild Wars 2
    -Dragons Nest
    -Mabinogi
    -Aion Online
    -Iris (multiple clients)
    -etc programs

    All on high graphical settings, all with no lag what so ever, all at the same time..
    My processor usage never reached over 75%
    RAM usage over 50%. c;

    Well, 1200 is your limit..?
    Desktops are gonna be your best bet since they don't normally over heat.
    I built my desktop for around 1200.
    Intel i5 3570k Quad Core 3.3Ghz Processor
    Radeon HD 2Gb GPU
    8Gb of self cool'd RAM
    2Gb MOBO Sabertooth
    Hyper212 Heatsink
    Case is metal, red/black with an LED fan, 5 fans in total.
    1 TB HDD drive, black (built for gaming or fast write speeds)

    If you want the extended details just PM me 8D
    Like I said, desktop will be your best bet, easily build it, and 1200 will build you a desktop that you'd buy prebuilt for 2k+ c;

    Oh not to mention that it is an SSD drive this razor one has. The SSD drives are better technology than normal SATA ones, they are much faster but MUCH MUCH more expensive. You are getting a good deal there.

    Get an external harddrive to keep your anime's, movies and porn nab! :P
    If you want to find a really good laptop but in a good price as well you will have to make small compromises as well.

    Yeah the hard drive space is the downside xD but that's the beauty of externals, can get a terabyte external for like 100$ now. But if your limit is 1,200$ my opinion would be the Lenovo I linked, I'm sure someone else will post otherwise but form seeing that laptop in action in my class, its worth is =P plus considering the specs, its not that expensive compared to others

    Nice computers and it's nice my school can get a discount but wow and the hard drive space is soooo tiny. D: I fill 500gb really fast and the price is hitting $2000+. I might suck it up and look into lenovo. If you got any other cool ones you know of. $1200 is really my limit though

    if you're going into graphic design the main thing you should be looking for is RAM, don't get anything lower than 4GB.
    I've heard that Macbook Pros are the most common thing to get for graphic design but if you're not an Apple guy I would recommend this...... http://goo.gl/0A8ory Lenovo is a good laptop, my friend from class uses this laptop and its amazing so I would look into it =P
