Hi welcome. For the most part you can pick whatever class you want to play. For solo I would recommend anything but the heal classes. And don't worry about the magic classes it just popular in this sever

The reason for so many Mage attacking classes is that they are GREAT farming classes. They are used a lot to farm things as they do damage fast ^^ Properly gearing them though is rough...

Templars are good starting classes as they are good for solo and party play. People always want good templars. Gearing them is rather simple as a proper acc and good geared templars and card wise they really just need a mix of Str and Stam cards

Crusaders are an okay class. They deal lots of damage but mostly you'll see them for PVP and for party play... gearing them is a bit tricky but in the end it can be worth it.

Myrmidon is a nice fast DPS class but VERY tricky to play as they deal magic and physical damage based on buffs aura and what not, but they very tricky to proper gear and every tricky to master but a good mastered Myrm can be a monster to fight against in PVP

Vanquishers are good PVP class. they also have their users in non pvp as they deal tons of damage REALLY fast. they are by far one of the strongest classes in the server with raw physical power. Gearing is a little tricky but not too rough.

Another class you could consider is a gunner as they deal great ranged damage without needing to get close and can be really strong.

Templar o/ or Champion!! Love them hahaha
Though for farming, any ranged DPS are way nicer just cause less time getting hit and just hitting.

Melees are powerful when theyre in groups or parties with the right classes. Optimizing their debuffs and such. But its kinda pricey to survive up close and personal to bosses so yeah
