Loading Screen Design Competition: Logging Area
Hi guys, this is a new competition to try and design some new loading screens for our various maps. Chance of winning entries being the new loading screen for the map!
Rules:
1. Nothing inappropriate
2. You can use screenshots, drawings, editing and so on.. anything is allowed! If you choose to do a drawing, make sure it's in the right dimensions.
3. 1 image per account/person
4. Each theme will run for 2 weeks (from posting date) or until we have minimum of 10 entries, whichever is longer.
5. If in doubt whether the contest is still open, it will be open until the thread is locked/winners are posted in the same thread.
6. When posting, please put your IGN and what GM boxes you want. Prizes will be mailed to that IGN.
Hint: Having your character in the picture is not likely to let you win... unless it's a mob from that dungeon
Prizes:
1st: 20 GM boxes of your choice
2nd: 15 GM boxes of your choice
3rd: 10 GM boxes of your choice

Do i expect to win? No but i thought it would be nice to try. this is what i could think of XD i tried doing a towful screenshot but nothing worked like i wanted to. so this is what i could do best. ^^; I know not the best but hey i tried XD

The Loading Screens for Iris Online are width 1024 x height 768 pixels. I don't know if they can be higher or lower
They are in the a .dds format in the 2ddata pack, here are some examples from retail iris i converted them to jpg.
Since .dds format needs a specific program to be viewed i suggest you use any format as long as it can be viewed here in the post.
GM this is not an entry just sharing the some loading screens from retail.

Hi guys in terms of the dimensions, what I meant was that it has to be the right shape at least.
E.g. if you take a screenshot yourself (press F12) you should use something that has the same size as that.
In terms of format, I think png gives a better image quality but you can also use jpg if you want. -

Guys just a few pointers.
Try not to use text and fonts and stuff in your work because if it's to be used as a loading screen it needs to be in keeping with the existing ones. I would add map name and stuff myself.
I actually use quite large images for the loaders since some people play at a much higher resolution than 1024x768 and stretched images look kinda bad. I use 1600x900 (widescreen format) but just submit your entries in whatever size your screenshot is (depends on the resolution you play the game at).
Submit your entries in jpg format to keep the size of the file down. Screenshots from the game will be in this format already anyway. However, if you create something original, keep a copy of the original high quality format you use just in case you win and I ask you for it. -
