Imo reset isnt best option,many ppl spend much time to hit their scores and to hold it on good lvl.

Not 10 winners It's 14 since it's top for each 2nd job.
Namely Berserker, Gladiator, Mercenary, Barbarian, Knight, Guardian, Warlock, Magician, Sage, Priest, Shadow Walker, Adventurer, Scout and Hunter.

There's one issue with this event. What if someone simply farm points from killing his friends? I'm not pointing any fingers but there are some name on the chart with level lower than 60, 3 digits kill counts with 0 deaths.

Can you please post a little info(mechanics) on this event...

Create 2nd ladder monthly- same mechanic,same start points like actual ladder.
So there'll be 1 general ladder (actual one) , and 2nd monthly ladder with reset every month.
It'll be more fair and better for old players who spending much time on wars to get that points.

Possible, but it won't give you any Chaos Points.

It will, as long as the person you are killing don't have too low of cp, and they are of level range.

I don't like this idea. IMO CP is really hard to earn especially in a legitimate way (not killing friends, finding people in pvp maps). Plus the fact that it can be cheated, like what past posters have described, it really isn't at all interesting.

Well firstly, it's not an idea, it's happening. And secondly, if it doesn't interest you don't do it.

Most things can be cheated and if we didn't do anything for that reason it would be a pretty dull place to be in.

I won't be able to keep two leaderboards without altering the way the game works but what I can do is keep the previous leaderboards archived and maybe even totalled up each month so it's like the one that's been running since we started. The problem with the current leaderboard is there's people on there that haven't even played the game for months. Because they never lose any of their points they stick around like a bad smell.

How about we measure BF points instead. I figure it's the most valid PVP event in the game. Most BF points acquired in a month including points that were spent, or something.

how bout this. make a thread here on the forums for the current pvp leader boards, then reset it. so that way you can use the leader board for the event but still have the old pvp board on the forums for people to see. and when the time comes that someone have more cp you can edit the forum pvp leader boards.

Oh and battlefield points is a nono for multiple reasons I'm not gonna go into right now.

Bleh just found out I'll need to do a server restart for this since it's cacheing the previous totals. I need to patch in a few mount fixes anyway I guess.

Seeing how this event goes, I vote for the original idea for the top 10 to win.
A priest is even 1st rank atm, the "healers have no chance" idea doesnt acually matter.

Its all about the effort the top 10 clearly have put in so far, roaming the pk fields for days and nights to rake in their kills.
It wouldnt compare to a 10 kills barbarian/merc/scout... who would win as their jobs 1st place.

Well both is still fine, the one choice is just rewarding the harder working I guess [/2cents]

I'll decide at the end of the month. If it turns out some underplayed class has a few kills, then it's really not very fair to those in other classes that tried hard to win this.

Geist is actually right, im lazy to pk now coz geist is the top warlock (and hard to find cp nowadays), why not make it minimum 1300 cp for class then if no barb(just an example) meets the minimum then take the next top in top 10.

as my suggestion, all are fine with me if it will be top10 players or make it 1 class winner at a time, the 1 class winner was implemented due to some class wants to join in but some class can't win in PK not unless you have nice gears or killing weaker players than you for instance priest and magicians and especially knight can have a hard time getting CP. its much fair if 1 win per class since there are many players with their favorite class can participate and enjoy the event. its also ok for me if its top 10 players if majority of the players in game wants it that way.

They are not useless to top players. We will be adding new accessories to the vendor next update which I am sure everyone will want.

Its useless for everyone from top ladder. Top players are full eq and new accesories wont make any big diffrence because we wont buy every part,just mix like with sets to get best way especially when crystal accesories are rly good (earning/neck).
I bought costume and still have 250k,geist crazy pvp'er almost 900k and others 200+ easy ,accesories wont cost more than 50-90k probably,so bf points 'll be most uselss prize ever seen and 2nd month 'll be just boring cuz everyone who now wanna be in top 'll just piss off 1 month farming for bf points...

So make a suggestion on what you think it should be then.

Battle Field points are not useless cause i want the whole set of the new armors for my collection > and I have other plans on making that PVP armors popular so many players will use it. I hope the prize of the battle field points is enough to buy the whole parts :mrgreen:

Bf points are easy to farm,from patch (that with pvp vendor) i farm like 900k points and that patch is like 1month,maybe a bit more. Anyway bf its part of game and if you have even half brain you can check how easy are that points to get.

If you srsly wanna add that bf points to prize maybe just let em choice? Almost everyone from top ladder have finished set and dont rly care about more pvp points specially when you getting 4k+ per win and most items cost ~100k...

yeah yeah..put moolah/tears or some custom title or custom item to brag and to show off to people...bf points are not that hard to get...put something interesting on the line... and i agree with Malonub =))
