People that have entered the Molten Arena, whether as a spectator or participant, have all vanished and are speculated to have been killed. The gate to the Arena now requires blood, contaminated by an unknown force within.

Here's the Prologue for you guys introducing our first two baddies *u*/

The dark Wizard looked down from her towers balcony, glowering at the cheering people below. Lightning crackled in her palm as she raised her right hand. She looks at the orb as she quietly whispers
"Today is the beginning Arcana. Your foolish attempt to stop us was only a minor set back. KASMEER!"
"Y-yes Mistress Kyleakin?"
A much younger and timid Wizard-in-training stumbled to the balcony. She bowed to her elder counter-part, brown pigtails brushing the ground lightly. Kyleakin tilted her head to one side as she spoke to the sky around her
"It's time you prove your worth. Please prove to be more useful than your brother did."
Kyleakin pointed to the bones at her feet before crushing the skull with her shoe. Kasmeer only held back her tears as she nodded and left; shakily grabbing her Wicked staff as she did. Kasmeer made her way slowly towards the gates leading to the competition arena, designed as a tribute to magic. The Molten Arena. Guards noticed the young human approaching and yelled for her to stop. Tears rolled down her face as she lifted her left hand into the air. Kyleakin grinned insanely as she drew a symbol in the air before watching it fade away, followed by the sudden screams of people below.
