It's debatable really - evasion can actually be very effective for any class in pve since most monsters don't have anywhere near the amount of hit that a player can obtain.

I am moving away from using so much evasion on gunner items, well, at least as a primary stat, but I don't think changing existing items would be very popular since some players still use an evasion build.

Not a fan Elinf lol. One of the reasons i chose the lisk gun was because of the evasion. There are already 2 attack speed guns out there so this adds a bit more variety. A different option you could have asked is to have him switch evasion on the lisk gun with the attack speed on the gti gun (as long as my current liks gun isn't changed ).

Yes evasion is much easier to get these days due to the catacombs items (only worth using 1 part though tbh), the dual evasion wearing cards and namazu accessories, but none of those were available when the lisk gun was first released so changing it now is a bit unfair to those who already made the gun.

As much as i would like Sedy to make 2 lisk guns available for us to choose, the only way that would work would be to give the same options to other classes (i.e evasion daggers, and even though i know he won't do it an attack speed 2 hander hehe).

Well, if that the case. Why don't u make 2 options? Like letting us choose from 2 guns in the quest, one is the original evasion and the other one is the attack speed?

Well, i knew about this >.who still use eva build, that's why i didn't finish the Lisk's quest. So if Sedy going to change the stat, he only need to change the current one. As for ppl who had already finished the quest, the stat will remain as what they are.
But well...these are just my selfish request. I also knew that if Sedy make 2 lisk guns, he need to make 2 for other classes too, which is kinda hard to come true T^T.
