Large amounts of gold is a very horrible experience in Iris. Moolah can only be sold in batches of no more than five. Only 15 may be sold if your gold was at zero. 6b gold per char total is not a lot any more, and I know i've lost several billion gold juggling over mail through alts. can the gol limit be raised to at least 20b?

Meh I changed it once before and it caused all sorts of problems. If anything, the amount of gold you can actually gain from mobs and quests should be slowly reduced. It's just stupid seeing all the ridiculous prices on the auction house.

Wishing Sedy can take all the gold in server - on people's mail, inventory, warehouse, quest prizes, NPC prices etc and so on
    then divide by ten.

So at least we can put things on AH for their full value lol

I've considered that idea many times. Would be a good way to reduce gold. But would have to be done periodically and radically changes values of items frequently. Can be done once I would think (if really possible) but then needs to be done at same time an actual good gold sink is introduced that will keep gold accumulation down. That is part of why GM's used to do food events, to reduce gold in game. Turned out to be a bad method though.

    Would be nice yeh but imagine the shitstorm. O M F G M Y G O L D ! !
I don't think I could make everyone understand that everyone's gold was reduced so it makes no difference because some people are just stupid and no matter how many times you explain it they just don't get it, or don't want to.
    I should make a tax!
Nah what I need to do is slowly reduce the amount of gold gained from everywhere and raise the cost of some services that require gold that are set to retail values still.

Yeh food event sucked because most people just put it straight on the AH for double what they paid lol.

Yeah I know people wouldn't understand it, but it is the simplest solution. Well, problem with gold sinks is they have to be universally needed.... by lvl 74-85 players at a minimum, since that is who all the gold is held by.

Actually... are you taxing tarot transactions? lol.

Well, maybe could do a NPC that sell's GM buffs? I dunno. I wanna say npc to sell moolah/diamond ore, but obviously no fair way to do that, so trying to think of other ways and atm, special GM buff npc is best I can think of. Well doesn't have to be GM specific, but a special buff players can't get on their own otherwise.

I'll keep trying to think of a gold sink, because this is honestly the biggest problem in Iris, was even an issue in retail.

I'm going to start reducing the amount of gold gained from monsters for a start and make other items available to buy with it.

My guildmate suggested something but was too shy to post.

To facilitate people storing gold without going over the limit, is it possible to have an item that costs eg 500m to buy from an NPC and can be sold back for 500m as well? A stackable item that you can just put in your inventory.
