The server will be offline for an update and maintenance at 23:30 server time. It will take approx. 1 hour.

PETS
Fixed an issue with pets not being dismissed properly when running on a mount or possibly even when running with high movement speed.

The fadeout time when a pet dies or gets dismissed has been increased.

Mandragora's autoattack skill chance to Sleep changed to chance to Stun (since sleep is automatically broken due to the skill damage so it's pointless).

DUNGEON
Fixed the Vortex/Snow Mountain results interface. It was sometimes showing the previous runs rewards icons in any unused slots - they are now cleared correctly between runs.

Vortex/Snow Mountain rez glitch fixed.

Minor changes to Arcturis on Insane mode of Temple of Atlantis.

EVENT
Fixed the hourly Halloween pumpkin buff.

MAP
Terminus Teleport Scroll, battlefield exit, new player entry point moved a bit away from the busy area to help with loading times when a player moves to Terminus.

Tobias the Grand positon moved to be close to the new entry point for new players since he has the first quest.

Terminus map has been separated from the big map.dat asset file to speed up loading times on players with slower computers.

Fixed an issue with map moves sometimes causing the main server to crash.

INTERFACE
Fix for Tarot Fortune interface so that it doesn't default to Gold tarot - it now checks your cards, spreads and reagents (Fairy's Powder/Marble etc.) and will default to the highest type that you have all the materials for.

Fix for the Exchange vendor interface sometimes charging odd amount of gold even though the exchange does not require any gold.

Shortened some quest names that didn't fit in the Quest tracker.

Put in a fix (hopefully) for the recent server crashes caused by players opening mails with attachments.

CLIENT CRASHES
After a lot of testing on the live server over the past week I have found the cause of the client crashes players experience after some time online. It's due to the amount of RAM (memory) the game client is using, which has crept up with all the new stuff that has been added over the years. Without going into too much boring detail, 32-bit applications (like the Iris client) are limited to 2GB of ram. When your client reaches around 1.7GB ram usage in the task manager it will very likely crash without any warning of low memory or anything else.

So why is the client using so much memory? Isn't 1.7GB a lot for this game?
Yep it is a lot and it only happens after quite some time of moving maps, loading in players with different mounts, items and titles running past you - all of this information is held in the client's memory and some of it is not getting cleared properly when moving between maps, causing it to rise and rise until it reaches it's limit and crashes.

To address this problem, I need to find out exactly what isn't getting cleared and fix it and I also need to start being more careful with the assets I add to the game. All of the textures for new titles, items, mounts and maps that I have added in the past few years are quite large and I am going through the process of reducing them and repatching them into the game.

I have also made the game client large address aware so that it can use upto 4GB ram on Windows 64-bit and upto 3GB ram on Windows 32-bit editions.

This patch includes updates to a lot of recently added textures (title effects, weapon skins & enhance glows, costumes & accessories, cloaks, mounts), reducing them in size where possible which will reduce the amount of RAM and graphic card RAM the client requires. It should also speed up loading times.
