Good news for those of you living in far off places, game patching is now using a global Content Delivery System (CDN). This means that updated client files will get now distributed to many servers around the world, one of which will be much closer to your location.

Not only will this speed the patching process up immensely for everyone, but it should also reduce the problem some of you have with being unable to even connect to the patch server without restarting your internet connection or modem/router. I can't guarantee that of course as I don't know what kind of state your internet connection is in, but I believe it should reduce this issue for most people.

Personally, patching has always been extremely fast for me with no issues and I do not live in the same continent as the patching server, but then connections between Europe and USA are quite good. BUT! even I have noticed a massive improvement in speed since activating the CDN today so I can only imagine it will give a massive boost to those of you in the rest of the world :)
