Ok then, let's dive in, shall we?

We have had players here who abused the voting system for tears (in the past, yes I am aware of that), the massive influx of tears caused the markets to fluctuate and impacted the economy of the game in such ways that neither you, I, nor anybody else can accurately determine but definitely in a manner that was negative and allowed those who MAV'd to gain an advantage over other players. Whilst not exploiting a bug, the players who MAV'd did break the rules set out by Sedy and Gala. Those people were banned and some (I'm being conservative) had their accounts returned to them, in the meantime however they were able to play on friends accounts or alts that either were not used or not caught. Nobody came onto the forum and asked for each person who abused the voting system to be IP banned or anything close to the sort.

Then of course we have the ever popular glitch cast/skill used by various Mage and Melee players in the NS Iris community, it was confirmed by Sedy numerous times and once as of recently that it is indeed an exploit, a bug. Nobody has been banned temporarily or even permanently, never-mind an IP ban for using this bug. The glitch affects the outcome primarily in DM and BoA as it gives the user a higher than intended attack speed enabling them to destroy the tower at a much faster pace than would normally happen. It affects the the game in a negative way and can ruin players enjoyment of those two battlefields. Ban count so far? Zero.

Also as of late, the wonderful players from certain countries who spammed the donations to take advantage of a mistake and allowed those who used certain transaction methods to gain huge amounts of moolah for close to nothing in terms of real currency. Total number of bans for this? Zero.

So finally, the VH bug. The players who used this caused server crashes for an unknown amount of time, you cannot say for definite that the VH bug has been responsible for a years worth of crashes, you are surmising that is the case. The players who used this did indeed cause unintended server crashes and gained items that once again affected the economy and gave them an advantage over other players whilst causing those same players misery by crashing their games. Those crashes also caused quests to roll back, bosses to vanish, loot to disappear from inventories and experience to roll back. Those players currently have the offending accounts banned until they are either released back to their owners or permanently banned. Why should they not play on other accounts? Other exploiters have been allowed to.

Based on the above? I would say their ban so far is punishment enough and on par with previous offenders who abused previous bugs. Why go further with those players and have them IP banned or permanently banned when previous exploiters of that bug have not been caught (although if you have logs dating back to Christmas 2012 Sedy, I'd have a look at those if I were you, I think you'd find some of them interesting). Previous offenders of MAVing which caused the games economy to change and players to become rich(er) have been released, glitch cast/skill users are free, those who gained moolah for close to nothing are running around free.

Seriously, take a step back and think for a moment, your suggestion is just diabolical.

Asking for a mac ban for those who abused the vortex bug it seems too much at least from my point of view... I bet would have been a lot more people banned if they knew how to bug vortex so not knowing how to do it saved many.......... just saying.

Hm yes Gala - Exactly of your word - no one get punishment - in any way before - and now as seems - Account ban is noting for me .
And how u gonna stop exploits when here is no any punishment to make ppl think what they can lose ?
If now they lose just 1 account as u said they can use many others .

Everyone game have bug's , but they can be fixed . If not Just remove the option to be used - like stop VH and make other way ppl to get items from there . on this game is many dungeons and quest where can be set all items .
And when u know Voting to unknow unit tears - why u just not remove all .
It's seems i played in beta -test server - just here is official .
You have good rules . But u alone not follow them .
Of course ppl wil use this as well . Economy is ruined so much already .
Many ppl leave iris exactly cuz nothing to do here and deserve the time .

For the above two quotes, it makes more sense from a financial point of view to suspend the accounts of those who abused certain bugs, fix the bugs and then release the accounts. If the players keep playing they generate potential players via word of mouth as well as the vote sites which in turn generates money for the server. If they stop playing once they have their accounts back then it's no loss and the game gets a little bit richer because better players (morally speaking) are left and perhaps those who quit because of the abusers, come back.

Not a bad idea actually, but removing the likes of Vortex for example could lead to more boredom amongst some players and be the tipping point in their decision to quit the game. It would be better to do as I stated above, suspend the accounts, fix the bugs, release the players.

Sedy and Gala do the content work alone, they don't command a dev team who can work 9-12 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. If it takes an average dev team 6-12 weeks to design, test and implement minor content then how long do you think it will take two people? Working content takes time.

I could have cross-checked all of the banned accounts and found their main accounts but it's time consuming work and I decided the time I have allocated to Iris was better spent on actually fixing the bugs instead of chasing people's accounts. My decision and I stand by it.

We never enjoy banning people from the game but from now on a harder stance will be taken on those that abuse bugs and glitches instead of reporting them. It's one of the VERY FEW server rules.

Yes true to , but they keep up this server more then 2 years . I'm sure not the time is important how long will take , the idea to be done is !
Every one can say Sedy and Gala do great job .

But here we back again to the economy - Never mind how good server they have . Never mind how hard work and time need to be spend . When just 1 person can ruin this abusing one of all bugs .
If now is VH next time wil be something else .
The time spend to punished ppl who abuse is never lost . To Fix the bug to . But this not mean is the last one .

There will always be bugs and there will always be people who abuse them. Those who abused Vortex had their main accounts and their own personal alt accounts banned, that's sufficient punishment in my honest opinion. Why you would have them permanently banned from the server? A bit of foresight is required Sof.

Sofka, they were punished. They have lost all the time they spend on those accounts, and items. Most people had BOTH mains and alts banned, and more.
The economy is a living organism that finds its course. Every time there's a problem, we get it back to balanced after a while. Us and the whole server. Just because you see things and prices different each day, that doesn't mean its "ruined". That's how economy works. That's how the market works.

We understand your worry but we've had worse done to us and we still couldn't IP ban certain people. If these people come back with new accounts and they decide to cheat again, we'll ban them again.

Sedy told you above how things are and what we can do, and thank you for the suggestion, we understand what you mean, but it is not possible.

If you don't have anything else constructive to say, I will lock this post or it will end up being a flame post. It has already been discussed thoroughly in the past.

If you have any more suggestions over the subject, it has been talked over enough on the forum, but I'll gladly hear you out privately, and explain how things work and why.

It's the problem , they not have bann on main account .
If some one can use ALTS ~~ to abuse bug - why he not used Forum to report this bug .
IK 1 person did 9 months ago and more . And now we see some account banned .
Alot of them is just alt on some one . Who know he Broke the rules .
SO why we need them ?!
All what they did is stil in game out of all bann and in use .

As I said in the post BELOW this one (which you should read), some people had both mains AND alts banned, yes.
If you wish to report someone specific, do it Sofka, no need to start a flame post when there has already been a big topic.
