Hey everyone!

I may not have the right to suggest such adjustment or additional implementation in the battlefield but I do hope it will give way to a much better idea.

Anyway, it's not a big addition anyway.

So, hear me out. :)

I've only played in this server for a few days now, this also includes the time when I played when this server was still new. I'm sure that my total playing time is approximately around 100 hours only. However, I have played countless hours in retail, although I was not among the players who have reached the level cap of 75.

So battlefield queueing...

In this server, we can safely say that majority of the people playing have already reached the level cap of 85. That being said, even though a lot of players have reached that goal sometimes the battlefield doesn't even start and the reason is because there's not enough players.

So why is there not enough players? Well, there are various reasons for that:

1. Some players are AFK or BRB
2. Some are probably doing something else. Homework, maybe? Chores? Cleaning his/her room? There are a lot of things.
3. Some maybe Alt-tabbed the game while waiting for the queue to appear but maybe ended up forgetting all about it.
4. Some probably thought they pressed the "Yes" button and BRB a while to do something else but when they came back, they were not teleported to the battlefield.

And much more reasons (I can't think of any).

During my stay in retail, battlefields don't even start that often. Some people don't queue because they hate being against with OP players (Being killed countless times while you are helpless or too weak is quite boring and demotivating). So me, being someone who is camping level 60, I gathered some of my friends from my bracket, and their friends to agree upon a time when we can all log in at the same time and queue. None of us were OP. Some OP people joined but they were only like 1 or 2 people. It became successful and soon became our routine for like 2 weeks or so. Sometimes the queue won't start because a friend forgot to queue or was AFK or something. But all I can say is what makes Iris Online fun is the time spent doing battlefields and PK.

So my suggestion?

1. Don't settle for the old queueing message box. It can be changed to something with a little tweak. For example: once the message box pops up, a sound will start playing. Any sound will do as long as it's an attention-grabber. This will prompt people who are BRB or waiting for the queue to know that the battlefield queue is up. By having a sound, a person will know that a queue is up and it doesn't need them to keep on glancing on the screen.

2. Put a list. Once the queue is up, a list of queued players will appear. the window can be maximized or minimized just like the Raid window. Players' names are listed alphabetically.

3. Put another minute for queueing so it totals to two (2) minutes. Battlefield matches can be reduced by a minute to compensate for the additional queueing time. For me, I'd wait for another minute and hope more players will join rather than wait like exactly one minute just to be disappointed due to lack of players.

These are just my opinion and suggestions. Feel free to comment. :)

    1. Sound added to the queueing message box sounds like a good idea to me actually but it won't help people that are tabbed out since the game sounds get muted if the window isn't active.

    2. I don't really see the point of this and it wouldn't be easy to add really.

    3. Sounds good too - I think we could add a minute to the queueing time and reduce a minute of the waiting time once you get inside?

    1. So it's difficult to tweak the sounds? I'm not a software person though and I don't know if it can fixed to the point that you can still hear the game's sounds even though you are tabbed. But if it can be done it will be of much help to other players. And I know a handful of people who play without sounds and maybe it's a good idea to separate the system sound and the queueing sound. So players can still hear the queue sounds while system sound is muted. Of course, they also have to freedom to turn on and off the queue sounds too.

    2. I'm not really sure why I added that. We can wait for more comments and let others post what they think.

    3. Yes, that would be better. Players who usually go in the battlefield know what they are doing. Once they are teleported to the battlefield they instantly buff themselves up. Buffing doesn't even take a full minute, or even 30 seconds.

    1. Forcing people to hear sounds when they have actively turned them off is bad design so I wouldn't do that and I'm not sure about making sounds play when you are tabbed out is good either since people like to watch videos/listen to music whilst they wait for stuff ingame. To be honest, if we did 3. and made the timer longer it wouldn't really be that necessary to mess with sounds. The battlefields always start at the same time so it's not difficult to catch the queue box, especially if it gets increased to 2 minutes.

What if you were to just make BF an option like the social menu? maybe have BF running constantly and when people want to join they click the BF menu and select the type of BF they prefer since some players will only join a specific BF. this way there is no need for sounds or pop ups on screen you just simply join as you want, of course the matches will still work the same way (like FM will still end after 1 teams captures 5 flags) but people can join or leave as they wish.

I think the best way to make BF enjoyable is to add more stuff on BF vendors.

Right now, the only reason to go BF is to get the accessories and that is pretty much it (with exception of Helmet/Gloves and hit for some classes). BF armors is useless pretty much for anyone in my opinion especially for Tanker since they give equal or less amount of HP compare by gear vs gear/ set gear vs set gear and less dmg obviously for all classes.

i suggested this earlier like vulcan said about the BF vendors. But why not add a 4 peice costume set with PVP damage, Hit, attack and Defense set bonus? Maybe a tiny bit of all stats. simlar to a moolah costume but no where near as "great" for normal game play. You did this with making a Battle field wing title after all. And well as Vulcan also said. The reasons for BF is low. PVP gear MAYBE for the lower classes is nice. Like 70 for some classes have good PVP gear, 75 is good alternative gear if you don't have lisk or CQ armor. But let's face it. only really great things in the vendors are the Accessories and if you don't have a moolah mount, the battlefield mounts that are 100% move speed. So i think adding new things would spark battlefield again. About queing though even though i hate the thought of "Que Battlefield to start it" since that is what KILLED retail iris battlefield, I like Screwup suggestion. Also i'd like to add this. how about you add a system to where we can infact maybe que what KIND of battlefield we would like to take part in? or a vote on what battlefield when it's time for it. Cause i hate Deathmatches yet love flag matches and ctfs. Some love BoA more. most votes wins or something like that.

I dont think 4 pieces costume is a good idea. The server running partly on Moolah Costume so lets leave it out of it.

There was already a battlefield PVP wing. So why not a PVP costume with lesser stats the same way? Not everyone is able to donate or able to get moolah. And if not costume, then what? Not a lot of options that i can see. I mean even a two part costume with ACTUALLY player verus player benifits would be nice. Four part is just a suggestion based on the Battlefield wing title.
