So, as the tittle say...

I was a camper 84 since a long time ago, and since there is no pvp 84 anymore, i decided to lvl to 85... But now i have no idea of what to do in my build... For now i bought the aggro relic, agro wearing card, and i'm going to buy 2k magic/physical defense wearing cards... My CQ is still ongoing, since i didn't finish IDQs yet.

Still have weak defenses and HP, but i'm working on it as i'm learning... But i feel i'm lack of SP to do a decent skill build myself, and i'm lost on champion gameplay on team pve (Last time i did something as tanker was LI with friends a long time ago and i was 75 yet)...

Can someone help me with skill build and advice?

Thanks in advance :D

First of all, I don't claim to be an expert on Champ build. They're relatively rarer compared to templars at the moment.

But what I've seen is that champs seem to need timing on their reflects (which I would suggest getting as a skill). In terms of skill build, you can always reset using the skill reset potions (just buy for tears). Suggest learning the skill timings and just try things out really. Plus you get that cool healing skill.

For SP, have you done all the extra SP quests? http://noscrubs.net/discussions/guide-quests-that-give-extra-skill-points-sp

In terms of gear, champ is pretty interesting to build. Def and abs aren't as important because the higher those are the less useful your reflect skills are.. but at the same time you do still need at least some to survive the hits. Another thing you need to survive (in order to reflect back) hits is HP. So you do have choices as to how to approach it.. no perfect build yet though I think :D Some champs use the HP wings instead of Def wings.

In terms of equipment, yes CQ stuff is nice, but it's pretty troublesome to get if you don't have a party/hate farming for ores. The next best and much more affordable alternative would be the gear that drops from TOAI. You'd have to buy it though, since with no gear you cannot tank it.

In terms of holding aggro, it's challenging to gain aggro from mobs compared to a templar (no constant regen rope). But it seems to be good at holding solo bosses aggro since you'd be hitting the boss + getting aggro from the reflect. so aggro would depend on your teammates (and whether they are too impatient to let you get aggro)

    just my 2 cents ~

do a skill reset and look at all 3 job trees , then go through and get only the skills required to level the skills in next job tree and so forth till you get every skill in 3rd job tree max.. after you have all 3rd jobskills go back look at normal buffs and constants you might want based on your gear..( you can pretty much do this with any character/class) after that you just need to learn to play as a champ takes practice learning what the skills do when to use them and what order is best.
champs can tank if you build them for it but for most part ppl use them as pvp. templar skill sets is so much better for tanking.

    Thanks, Spunny!

Your advises will help a lot! I was going in a wrong way, thinking that was a must to have high defenses and absorption, forgetting the reflect thing... Now i'll think of my reflects as the gcasts of casters! XD So, i guess full stamina gear with 85 pvp accessories (which gives a lot of HP) will be the most suitable to me! Also, thanks for the link with SP quests! i'm going to do them asap xD!

and, btw, now i see why Templar does get aggro so easy (once, in CI, i approached the mobs and they did run straight towards the templar.. lol)! I rly didn't notice it O:

    Interesting! xD

I never thought this way xD Thats a good tip to skill build my champ :D I'll of course do it, and practice my rotations/reactions in both scenarios (PVP/PVE)!

    Thanks a lot, Umpty!!
