Most dungeon are not meant to be soloed unless you are over leveled and have decent gear. Also all class have there strength and weaknesses. people tend run tanks because it's made to take huge amount of damage and agro. Range class so that they don't take damage around the Boss and healers for support. Close range dps have to be more careful but they do massive amounts of damage. Generally late game a diverse party give more party buffs and debuffs. So don't sweat it if you're having trouble just ask for help.

I am assuming your character is also called Gandarf which is still a Gladiator, not Crusader since you are level 71.

Your gear is not enhanced and you have carded everything with Stamina. You are playing a damage class not a tank - carding full Stamina and no damage increasing stats is just prolonging your fights and your death - the best defense for this type of class is offence - kill it before it kills you.

Enhance your armor - even basic enhancement cards that drop from monsters or that you can buy from the vendor with gold will provide you with a lot more defenses so you can use your equipment's card slots for cards that give attack increasing stats, not Stamina.

Unlock the other two wearing card slots on your character, you only have one.

Put cards on your costume pieces and get yourself a face and back costume.

If there is some class that can get away with half their equipment slots being empty, with no enhancements, hardly any card slots filled, let alone with the correct type of card, then please let me know, but I really don't think so. You might get away with it for levelling but by the sounds of it you are talking about doing dungeons, even soloing them? Not a chance.

dmg dmg damage is what you want use it for pots for food for buffs get it use it find party you can hang with and rely on heal for ur hp and use pots.

try pvp with that character. (you might like it better tho it isnt an easy class to play anymore.. there were alot of changes done to that class a while back and other classes got bumped up because it was already spanking almost everyone. but still if you are trying to duel a ww assasin type character good luck the cooldowns suck for your class. mainly because the skills are so powerfull.)

as a side note : this class got nerfed the skills dont hit anymore.. and the hp and defense isnt enough to keep up with the range and def abs and reflect of the other classes.

where some classes can duel duel duel for 5 mins and get close calls in bf or duels this class cannot hang because of cooldowns and low hp def etc. thats why i say dmg dmg dmg...because if u want be good with that char you have to kill in like few hits (use combos like skill paralysis etc) or you are waiting on ur skills to reset trying to run and it just doesnt work.

be the best glass cannon you can be learn when to run and hide or you will be destroy with this class.

one more thing ... if you get stunned alot with this class or hit someone with reflect on you will not have a fun time playing the game and you will never be able to land combos.. learn to avoid that. good luck.

Classes in Iris have always been "called" unbalanced. Maybe i can shed some light on a few things?

. Crusader. An undergeared crus isn't that great. But properly carded, properly used and understood one is a force to be fought against. Crusaders have, many imbomilzation bleeds and silence skills. they also counter healers as they have - heal % skills. They can now use DOT on bosses. If you are trying to solo with a crus? Make sure you know your limits. They aren't meant for the instant death against dungeons. but in a team they are great. They have high damage, high ITD (with one class surpassing them) and can easily kill enemies. They aren't the best at PVP anymore but in FM they are great due to DOTs stuns and over all being a pest to flaggers. They have MORE than their fair share of uses.


Every class here in iris will seem unbalanced when compared to a different class. That's because each class plays VERY differently. How to properly play a class? That's up to you to find, not everyone plays the same character the same way. and in the end it's up to you to understand how to properly build your characters and play your class in a way to suites your play style. Any character can be good, There is no "imbalance" unless you make it as such.

Oh and before you ask if i tried playing the crusader class. Yes i have~ When the class was patched to get rid of their 4 shot kill pvp potential i went about making one and acted like a standard player instead of a GM and joined in with a raid to do Lisk insane (which is now lisk hard)

The results? WIthout Gm style stuff, using only CQ, standard wings and stats V, the crusader never died in lisk I, i picked my time and struck wisely and lisk and rhinestone were taken down by the raid with me actively attacking. So crusaders are apparently useable~

As sedy said above. unlock your character slots, Card your gear with something to make it workable. Might i suggest Bear cards or stats? If you went pure stam you won't have the power needed. Bear cards give power and stam. Tiger cards also would be usable. they give stamina and agility which effects hit. power and stamina. Using standard inchant cards will help with getting you livable. if you find it still underwelming there is special ones that gives damage abs to chest. HP to leggings. attack or movement speed to feet, Str, stam or agi to helm and crit/evasion to gloves (crit is needed more for your class) plenty of players can make and sale you those. so keep an eye out in auction house~

Also remember potions and food effects as they are very useful as well.

If you want a FURTHER indepth on other classes ask me i'll give you my person opinions on them~

Just a fyi, Crusader will receive a few changes in the next update - mostly reductions to some of the longer skill cooldowns but also an increase to their AoE skill damage and a major PvE buff to the Open Wounds skill.
