I know it's wrong to use programs to kill monsters automatically, but as the game does not have a population of very large players, could think of providing a bot for those like me, working and studying, having little time to evolve the character. I played this game when younger, and recently discovered version of NoScrubs, I loved it ... it's just a shame I can not enjoy much of the game at such low levels of character ... please think about it

*if anyone have some program that works like a bot to NoScrubs Iris Online, and could pass to me, I would thank you for that

Levelling here doesn't require you group with other players 99% of the time, you can level up really quickly by doing solo quests, and even some dungeons solo, in a matter of a few days playtime really.

Most games that have been running for a long time, even retail servers, have fairly empty maps until you reach the high levels. The only time they were really packed with players is on launch day. I played a couple of large retail games recently and didn't see a single soul outside of the towns.

However, and this might surprise some, but I'm actually NOT against it. I used bots in games myself many times, wow, aion and a few others, I actually really enjoy setting up a bot and usually end up fixed to the screen watching my character do it's stuff - which I know defeats the purpose of botting but I find it kind of mesmerising for some reason lol. Even the few mobile games I play now that have auto-mode I can't help watching.

However, I'm not sure it would be a good idea or not. It would be nice to have for farming, and levelling I guess, but levelling is really slow from killing monsters unless you pop some Monster EXP potions, the way to level here is definitely by doing quests.

    Pros
Great for people with limited time to help level up
    Great for AFK farming
Increased gold income from selling items and money drops

    Cons
More AFK people farming stuff which to other players is just as bad as not seeing any players at all.
The game has limited inventory space - I doubt you would be able to farm for long before filling bags, especially on lower level maps where the mobs have quite a large variation on drops.

I think we had a similar discussion some time ago when somebody suggested it but I'm happy to have the conversation again - see what everyone else thinks about it.

Sedy *cough* Put an AFK mining with exp earning. Ill be super happy with just that so I can actually do my job without needing to schedule farm times LOL.

A machine *_* to make..so you can farm *_* Hi artisan make me a drill machine pls LOL!

    -----

Idk I like the option of having somewhat of an afk farming or levelling feature haha just for us who cant actively go on for hours to do wanted papers and such.

I would like that idea comes up soon, I love the game, as I said, because, really, my school and my job takes a lot of my time, just leaving few days and momentos to play. I don't know how the bot could work, but I think we should try something like that. Anyway, thanks for reading my post and give me attention :) I am really happy

im in agreement for mining bot but it really wouldnt work well ppl would argue over spots and or log in to find another bot has displaced you and taking ore also the inventory issue is a biggie.
i can lvl a char to 85 in 2 days if i do wanteds along with dailies and dungeons over a single weekend seems a mute point.
as for farming for gold? ehh i dont care i like to have fun with the spawn random boss cards over ppl doing its fun (maybe should count as choas of some sort) hahah ... or maybe allow pets to attack bots lmao and pet gains stuff from it.
    anywho just my viewpoint .
i also enjoy setting them up and watching lol to make sure its working correctly.

Interesting discussion here... I can see both sides of the coin.

In the grand scheme of things the traffic on this server is low enough that fighting over mining spots is kind of moot, unless there's a severe shortage of mining spots in general.

Now, I've always been Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes when it comes to things like botting and stuff; I just don't agree with it. (That's what I get for having been a player volunteer on an official version of a game for a couple years) However, I have seen some games that have systems that allow you to farm a mining/gathering point autonomously without actually having to be there (ie. "Legal botting") so I understand the hows and whys.

Would I be against botting to allow for afk farming? I honestly don't see why I would be. I wouldn't do it myself (because Mr. Goody-Two-Shoes here) but not having any sort of built-in system does make it monotonous and unneccesarily taxing. (Maybe we could even have this as a feature some day? Pretty please?)

As for leveling, I'm obviously too low to see how the XP rates affect grinding near endgame, but at first glance I see it as both inefficient and potentially disruptive to other players, so no, I couldn't condone it.

That's, at least, how I see things.

Me when multitasking. I just let my pet kill all the monsters while I do something else. I do have to keep pressing 1 though, hrmmm

I was actually thinking like a drill item and a popup where it shows something like, IGN has mined an iron ore x1! every other mins or so lol. Then it has some batteries to go on for an hour. Then you afk with it. Not really botting XD but ...sorta botting? HAHAHHA

Or maybe somewhere when a pet can actually earn you EXP slowly? Who knows :D
