Right click mark.bmp and choose Save link as...

cannot get the background transparent with gimp it makes the file too big please help

Open the image in Gimp
Select all (ctrl-a) and copy (ctrl-c)
File > New
Advanced Options > Fill with: Transparency
OK

Paste the image (ctrl-p)
Use the Fuzzy Select Tool or something else to remove the white and clean up the edges.
Save As
Name: mark.bmp
SAVE
In the Save As BMP box that opens, select Advanced Options and select 32 bits: A8 R8 G8 B8
Save
