For those that have problems getting our launcher to patch the game properly, please try the following.
1. Run the
vcredist_x86.exe file in the NoScrubs Iris Online folder. Run it as Administrator (Right click it and select Run as Administrator). Then reboot your computer.
2. Make sure your Firewall isn't blocking any of the applications in the NoScrubs Iris Online folder. This includes
irisclient.exe,
IrisLauncher.exe and
irispatcher.exe.
3. Put the Iris Online folder somewhere that isn't restricted by Windows Security (Permissions). Try putting it onto your Desktop for example, where you have full ownership of the file system. This step really shouldn't be necessary but I can't account for the state of your computer and it's settings, so to save headaches, just try it
4. Run the
IrisLauncher.exe as Administrator (Right click it and select Run as Administrator).
5. If you still have problems after doing all of the above then your internet connection is probably timing out whilst trying to communicate with our patch server, crappy wireless connection maybe? Try turning your modem/router off at the power for at least a few minutes to reset your connection.
6. If the patching process works and you are able to start the game with the START button but you get an ERROR 5, it means the launcher cannot find the client. Check your antivirus program because it's probably deleting the irisclient.exe - tell it to leave it alone.
One last thing. Once you start patching, never interrupt the process because it's possible it will corrupt your .dat files.
