the 12% Hp - per every 16 sec is already OP enough o.o. If something needed to improve? I suggest it should be the Rope buff. -27% abs is almost all abs come from a Sniper ... Beside that? Everything else is OP, -90% atsp/cast/Mv for 6 sec and Aoe from Bullet time is almost causing a group of ppl unable to do anything. Sniper Dot is instant with short CD not long CD. Sniper has a lot of temporary buff as well as debuff so definitely being an underrated class (except for that -27% abs thing).

Maybe suggesting to reduce the -27% abs will increase your dmg in PvP field better. In PvE while? you are always outta range, that -27% abs almost mean nothing (unless your tanker decides to fly with the butterfly and let you tank it)

Back in retail, i was a Scout.

It's OP but underrated, even here in NS. idk why. Most prolly 'coz they don't have burst dps like the ones that Sharpshooters have(?)
On my experience being a Scout back in retail, we were the class that doesn't really inflict the most noticeable damages. We do super micro damages and on super micro it means that it's like you're attacking using normal attacks compared to other physical classes. So i ended up pumping up my attackspeed on full extent. lol. Also, snipers have tons of debuffs that can be spammed. Just learn a proper skill flow for your attacks. If someone would sponsor me to change my job, i'd switch to sniper.

If I could make a change to snipers it would be to armour piercing shot 2. Since the it'd fix it was reduced from 100% back to 50% making it the same as the piercing shot 1 and a waste of 2sp basically.

I tried asking sedy if he could either change it back to its original 75% it'd or at least add a %bonus like he did with zeros and other classes. He never replied so hopefully he sees this post instead lol

Snipers can only do much damage on Cloth and Mail armor users, also any job can kill us almost effortless.
But against any heavy armor users, we are really useless.
Yes we can be good at support, good crowd control up to 2v2 battles

I have bear with Sniper at level 84 hoping it would be different at 85 but I've never been so wrong.

There's a lot to consider when it comes to pvp. or w/e. Item gap from your opponent is a major problem. Utilizing trans cards can also affect a lot on your skill flow (its a game changer). What skills to kick in 1st, and what to do next. You should also consider the opponent's skills, so you can counteract it. Pushbacks help a lot. It saved my ass 9999x against any type of users. Utilizing ranger skills (beastial/prot aura) also helps. If you're quick in switching weapons, it won't be a trouble for you. Snipers are not the ganker type of class. You can't expect it to dive in and pwn someone inside.

I'd suggest that the area silence should be the same as the ones WWs have. or idk. I havent checked Sniper skills yet, so.. meh.

I have to admit, I've been doing BF for a long time and all I can say is that Snipers are very easy to kill lol. Because unlike the other classes they don't have skills to protect themselves instantly like a shield that can "block more than 2 hits". They can only rely on damage absorb potions and nirenia transcard to protect themselves. They got a rope skill that gives them more damage but gives them -27% damage absorb in return. -27% damage absorb is a pain lol.

Lol, i'm a Sharpshooter and my other char is a Sniper, when they see me in BF using any of those characters, everybody is like, OMG a gunner lets focus fire on him and forget about the other classes because he's easy to kill and will not be able to runaway easily. But knowing this downside, I still enjoyed doing BF and I'm doing whatever I can to counter this weakness but it wont be long before I would decide switch to another class, just like MrCrunk (before was a SharpShooter) because we knew and have experienced the downside of the defensive abilities of gun type classes. Gun types are good killers as they say but not the best and its boring if what you just normallly do is pew pew pew... then die die die

Dear, idk where the hate is coming from but my sig shoutouts to anyone who dislikes our guild. tbh, i give sympathy to what you posted, i just gave my thoughts about how you can adapt to the scene.

Like i said, i was once a Scout and it as a struggle. I crawled my way to find a suitable build for my class 'coz back in retail, ppl built their Scouts with Stamina/Agi cards--for me it was weird for it to be built that way. (before server merge Luminous/Radiant) Adventurers that time. eg: Envi, Hiraishin, and other known Adventurers were equipped with Evasion/Resist and Crit Cards. All Stat IV back then was a SUPER RARE that not everyone can fully-equip their armors with all stat. So yeah, what i did was--i used crit cards, evasion cards, and anything that could increase my crit, eva, atkspd. I didn't mind the damage output before coz i was confident that i can throw in my debuff and contribute to the party i am in with. Coz that is what's important; teamplay.

I never became 'rich' or even pro or even became known on being a Scout. But yeah, i try my best to improve. I had crappy items. I almost didnt have the chance to experience +10 weapon/armor. I guess i was just lucky that i had friends and guildmates that helped me through. I learned a lot from them and they weren't afraid of having a liability in their roster. I die a lot. But with each death i consider it a lesson--another room for me to improve coz you can't master something overnight.

I complained a lot too. Especially, on how Scouts or any other mail users are so freakin' easy to kill. And to add, Scouts can't kill on an ambush style or whatever suicidal things that knights/vanqs do. Scouts do what MDPSs do. They hit and run. Because for as long as you have the right distance, you are untouchable. And range is your advantage.

I saw a video early this year, i think. Martha shared it to me and i was surprised that there was a video like this. I never got the chance to see it not 'til Martha showed it after a year it happened.

That's me back in retail. LOL Yes, i can't kill a knight and my dmg sucks and i know retail is far more different from NS iris. But hey, it's still iris. Like i said, we can always adapt to changes.

AFAIK, eva works the same on all characters.
