Thanks for sharing your detailed feedback regarding the Mushroom Spore drop rates and the daily attempt limits for Amanita’s Nest.
I understand that encountering consecutive runs without a drop can feel discouraging, particularly when you are eager to complete your item. However, I want to provide some essential context regarding the design philosophy behind this dungeon and why the current structure will remain unchanged.
The Status of Legendary Items
Legendary items represent the absolute pinnacle of item quality in this game. They are designed to be long-term, prestigious goals that offer an immense, permanent power spike. Once obtained, it is unlikely you will need to replace this item. Because of their ultimate tier status, acquiring them is intended to require a sustained investment of time and effort.
Bridging the Gap for Newer Players
A frequent critique I receive is that the game is too difficult for newer or solo players to catch up to the endgame. Amanita’s Nest was designed specifically to address this issue.
To understand why the current system is already generous, it helps to compare it to the traditional legendary grind:
The Traditional Route: Requires a dedicated 6-player party to coordinate and complete many hundreds of dungeon runs (100 pieces per player), with each run taking over 20 minutes (depending on the dungeon) and requiring reset cards.
The Amanita’s Nest Route: Allows solo, lower-level players to bypass the group requirement entirely. With a thoroughly tested and accurate 50% drop rate, players will mathematically average 1.5 Mushroom Spores per day. This allows you to secure a pinnacle-tier item in approximately two months of much shorter, daily play.
Why Limits are Necessary
The 3-run daily limit is a deliberate design choice. Without a cap, players would feel compelled to endlessly grind the dungeon. Furthermore, allowing unlimited farming would trivialize the most powerful items in the game, completely destroying the sense of achievement that makes legendary gear meaningful.
I want to assure you that I am listening to player experiences, but I must also protect the long-term health and economy of the game. The current system provides an incredibly accessible, solo-friendly path to the best gear available.
Thank you for your passion for the game and for participating in this discussion.
