I believe this to be the first time this player has had to be banned from battlefields. You might say it's countless times, but it's the first time it has been reported/proved, hence the 24 hours. It's 24 game hours anyway - it doesn't continue to decrease when logged out.
I don't enjoy banning players from the battlefields, and only do it when absolute proof is given as with this video, but even then I am dubious about it because I know for a fact that a lot of player's actions provoke this kind of thing in the first place by refusing to cooperate in battlefields when they are teamed up with people they don't like, and then that player decides the next time that THEY won't cooperate or will do something to piss THEM off. THAT is what I get countless reports of, but I choose not to act on it because I don't have the time or the desire to get involved in petty arguments, but if I did, I would probably end up banning 90% of you.
Unfortunately with Iris, the battlefield teams are made randomly, so this kind of nonsense will always exist, but I don't know of many games like this with battlefields that ban players for going AFK or not helping, or even feeding the other team - you just have to suck it up there. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that is my experience in MMOs with some form of pvp/battlefields. Always people afking at the base or running around like headless chickens doing their own thing.
I have considered allowing use of the AFK system (before it was changed) to kick players that were not cooperating or acting badly, but unfortunately there are players that would abuse it and then I would get complaints about that instead. Can't really win on this one.
