is this an option ive missed? or is it in the works tried to do for lvl shield other day said it could not be used for it.

casters can lvl both staff and rod they carry so can fighters both swords they carry why not shield users?

Yeh you can enhance on both rod and staff or 2h and dual etc. etc. but you can only use one at a time and it's only the active weapon that gives it's stats and enhance stats.

The reason I didn't allow the shield to be enhanced with these new weapon enhancements is because it wouldn't really be fair, since no other class would be able to benefit from enhancing 2 weapons and having the effects of those enhancements active at the same time. Shield users already gain an advantage with the normal enhancements giving them a massive boost in defense. Allowing them to use for example, double PvP damage, would just be wrong.

    staff and rod not using in same time, if shield is using with 1H sword. btw u still can enchance 2H and 1H too lol :p

    This isn't an option for a few reasons.

    The sheild, other than any all stats it currently has, has no attack damage, Only thing it ups is Defense. Sorry it's not a smashing board (sadly)

    Rods and staffs for a mage yes. but in PVP do you REALLY have time in the middle of a fight, to switch your staff to a rod, heal and then switch back to fight? Not really.

    To date the sword and shield classes are the only one with TRUE dual weapons.

    I'd like to see it differently but sadly that will NEVER be a reality.

    I'd love to be able to mix and match daggers, or dual swords but y'know that won't be an option. by mix and match i mean. Imbued nereus and imbued blood letter at the same time. something like that. but yeah off topic.

    Anyway since shield doesn't up damage. no use in upping it's PVP damage now is there?

    that said i'm off to work now think on those things ciao

    good point i guess.. you can however use 2hand class buff yourself then switch to dual sword and use buffs for dual sword simultaneously.
    idk .. guess shiled is what it is just shield lol.
    hopeful wishing i suppose.

    The more i thought about this the more something came to mind. Would it be possible to do a "shield only" enhancment of ONLY +Defense and have it in set ammounts other than all the others which is % based

    I.E.
    +100 for a +2 sheild and +10-15k for a +10 and only be with the shield. When you think about it there is so many - defense skills around now it shouldn't make THAT big of a difference? Of course i don't think it would be needed but it would be nice

    lol tankers got nurfed *cough thanks matty cough* but i agree tankers are already pretty OP so giving them more defense would only cause arguments among the other players

    Let's see here Ray... -8k from hybrid's Savage toenail -12500 from hybrid's main buff. -5% damage Abs. and then there is that one bleed that is -100% damage abs. ontop of that. through playing around i THINK it was sorc that has a - def. or maybe it was wiz... have to check that alt's skill. One of the two has a - def. Then there is -10k Defense from another templar. -6k if someone was to quick change into a beak for one hit and change back. I know zerk/vanq has a - def but i don't know the ammount it does max. That said to add the numbers ALREADY6

    unless my math fails me that's -36500 defense PLUS two more numbers i haven't checked on yet WITH -105% damage abs in THEORY. now of course this is just a theory no way to say ALL of these would be on a team vs a templar but in theory. Now knowing my templar isn't finished yet (I need more time to play) i only have 42k defense. so IF i was in a battlefield fight with the classes above that would leave me with only 5500 Defense. so adding again what i suggested. boosting that up to 15500 from just 10k REALLY wouldn't matter now would it? Again this was merely a suggestion and skill based theroy. Of course i see how it would make some rage with things like dispell pots and of course the wearing card. but i in all seriousness don't see the problem with it. Maybe i would after i get time to finish my chainquest

    Oh and i forgot to add on there there are several ITDs. like that of soul bladers and Crusaders and the like. Which in THEORY should slice through that like butter

    Just to point out. If you have all those debuffs, that means you're getting ganked by about 5 people. I think any character is supposed to die at that point. If you're expecting to live... err............don't you think that's kinda unreasonable?

    The point is~ Tankers are not meant to be ridiculously unkillable in super gank situations. Sure they can take at least 3 or 4 gankage with all enemy stacked debuffs, but with your suggested 10k-15k def? Really? Do you expect all that debuff to be present on you 24/7 to justify that much up? And why only PvP? What abotu the PVE aspects? Tankers with that much Def will basically just receive less that 1k damage from even lvl 87 mobs. Hardly fair or balanced in all aspects.

    And why should only tankers benefit in def? They already have at least 15k more than other Plate melee classes and 20k more than Cloth or Mail users; its too high of a gap between players.

    Dont forget current status quo is a properly built tanker is still alive even after being ganked by a few people. The only "usual" way they die is if theyre DOT%'d to death.
