Three things for discussion about sharpshooters


The first is for pvp and pve. Can Hawk eye please be a 15 minute buff or better yet, can ranged fire 3 be 900 range? Compared to Snipers, Sharpshooters seem way more built for PVE... But they don't really get out of range enough or have the defensive/evasive pve skills that snipers have. More than anything else for this class, I'd just like to see SS get much more range and that would solve so many issues.


the other thing is can hazy strike and shrapnel please affect bosses?


Alsoooooo, can the aoe sleep be widened or have a longer distance or cd? When it was a trap, it was very useful for being chased and farmed, you could drop it and keep running. Now you have to try to hit moving targets while moving and it doesn't work so well, also it glitches A LOT, either it doesn't drop when I click or nothing happens and it goes to cd. As a trap it never missed. As much as I love my SS that trap was a bit broken, but how it is now seriously dropped its usefulness. It misses and glitches a LOT, can't really be comboed pvp or pve (yes you can drop a bomb, but you have to sit there and wait 6.7s for it to explode before attacking again who has that time pvp). personally, I would have rather had it shortened then lose the only real trap in the class. Especially compared to all the immos and traps of elven mail users (the WW stun trap is truly broken, can that have a longer cd btw?).


I like that Sharpshooters are such good debuffers, the damage is great, the skill sets are fairly good (though the buffs are nothing lol) but there isn't much to defend with and they aren't designed for massive onslaughts of damage from the other classes or monsters or bosses, yet don't really have a way to avoid or trap now. The sleep trap was great for this, especially pve as it gave time to deal some damage before things get to you or run. I totally get why that had to change but it really left a hole in the class. Can you please, please try increasing the range if nothing else?

    x_x Doesnt sharpshooter have insane amount of range already, :D

    Hazy Strike and Shrapnel due to -Attspeed cannot affect updated Bosses. (usually anything 80+). Theyre only affecting Elites and below.

    Some bosses abit lower like the original Tundro Sakun Srac and dungeons 75 below like Laioha Insane, they still affect it. :)

    nah, they dont even leave the range of DS, or the bears super punches unless you are using a skill. They do have ONE skill, Snipe, with a 50m range and 2min cd. but other than that, the range is the same as a wiz or sorc. I've distanced it against you actually on Lion haha, your range is a few steps longer XD. Which is my point, they have good skills, but not the lock down of Snipers. I think range would do a lot for the class without changing their tier too much.

    I guess but if youre using skills though it has 150 more range than normal, also food give + range as well ._.

    i dun think youre designed to just auto hit when DS or anything else needs hitting tho LOL XD idm higher range but...why? :D

    Sorry, I tried to save SS but I failed them.
    As I said on the link attached below, their trap is twice as long as WW's with the exception of having to place near the char and only 6 targets and dealing a fixed ~12k or 10k DMG, but the effect is pretty much the same. WW gets to keep theirs while SS's is changed. I dont know how and why WW slipped through the narrow door even though my argument must be legit there. I suggested changing it to 5s like WW's. However, both my suggestion and argument got ignored, sadly.

    Vulcan has the same reaction when SS's trap got nerfed, and Sedy said he would re-work SS which I believe is at the bottom of his list since he's prioritizing on Pet, and some other stuff.

    PS: I don't know if you have read my old post but give it a shot, lots of thing are discussed here, mostly focus on Phy DEF stacking which was fixed, bleed and SS.

    because in PVE, gunners, dont really have the def to deal with AOEs and running back in forth isn't a challenge or a class leverage, it's just annoying and tedious. Not to mention as a class, instead of having the best of both worlds in def and eva compared to cloth or plate, mail users have to devote a lot of the build to either or to make them useful unless you cop-out and just allstat. So either get one-hitted from phys or magic fighting bosses. Most of the attacks don't even affect bosses. Which is also great for a debuffer class haha. Can we at least not be in the way?

    In pvp.... How can guns not have a longer range than magic? I feel that gunners should be the one class that can kite other long range users. Not to mention being physical also decreases effectiveness against melee users compared to magic, so extra distance wouldn't be broken. Everything is already super one-sided to magic range anyway. Like for instead duel boundaries... Magic users can kite melee no problem, but melee users have nowhere to go without running out of bounds and losing. At least let them have to try to keep up for once >_>


    EDIT:

    it wouldnt even need to be mods to the class stats, I'd love to have those stats on gear and weapons a bit more personally. Especially on the high ebd guns, super especially on the PVP gun

    Eh! I agree with Ray ray about this. SS has insane amount of range than sniper. Have u ever stood with a sniper when atking? I'm sniper myself, my range normally shorter than a SS even with super range pot, self buff and SS range buff, SS still can stand a little bit further than me (not counting range relic).

    Yea, I do agree about range, but why Wizard gets to be crowd controller, and Sorcerer is a lazer beam while Sniper is a canon but SS isn't much of a crowd controller? And Perubi, correct me if I'm wrong, but your DMG is even higher than Magical Class who has gcast advantage. How do I know? Blame the mega, your name appears often on mega when bosses die. And Namazu doesn't favor Physical DMG class, to my knowledge, so don't argue most bosses favor Phys DMG now, so Mag people can't do anything, and your name on mega is something that's obvious.

    Not just that, Sniper outclasses their counterpart SS in DMG as well, I don't need to explain why, you know it yourself. So why not make them crowd controller which I believe it was Sedy's intention at the beginning when he introduced 3rd job? It works with Wizard-Sorcerer case, why not Sniper-SS?

    First off, I think phys range for snipers and SS should both be increased. Secondly I think even more so SS should because of the way they play Vs the damage they can deal before they die in four hits.


    Mat hits on where I feel the difference between SS and Snipers is. Snipers, compared to SS, are aggressive active damagers. They are like phys wizards somewhat. SS are unique in that they are debuffers mostly. They are like anti-prophet and I love it. But they don't really have actual traps anymore and not many ways to get away from danger or deal a killing shot They have greater alacrity or something... But you're already getting pummeled by the the time you can use it and its canceled after the next hit. Can that part be removed maybe? \ That's why I feel that the buffs or even high end weapons or cards should have increased range pvp. Especially against magic.

    And again, even more so for pve, the price to boost distance through foods and pots is astronomical haha. And even still it all adds up to just a few steps. And that still doesn't give an edge because anyone can do it as well, better actually. SS are a great asset to have in boss fights with the four skills that are effective. But they just die so, so much it can just become more of a burden trying to keep them alive. In addition, SS as a class doesn't have any "protection" skills so things lifeike insane crystal showers are always fun. I just think guns should definitely have a noticeably superior distance. I personally can say if I could get the death count down some, I could make a really custom build, but there's just too much to try to balance without any class help or just allstat everything. Which still wouldn't actually let the gun classes shine like they really can.

    I don't think that adding distance would be a solution to everything. But I do think it's something small that would go a long way without shaking up the game too much

    Hey, I'm talking about range, not damage D:
    And so sorry for everytime my name appear in the world boss announce. I don't even know this myself, don't go blaming me. My dmg is not that high, only 29k with full buff and food.
    Also, I have a freaking high and annoy aggro. Boss will atk me if something happen to the tanker if I'm not using the -aggro food. I would love it too to make sniper and ss aggro lower like sorc and wiz >:

    "Not that high, only 29k". How many people out there can have that dmg? Not to mention you benefit from all the -Phys Def debuff :p and if your aggro is too high, you should learn how to control it rather than blame the tanker. Ive seen quite a few snipers who are able to control their aggro. There is skill that remove aggro for snper if Im not mistaken. And why is your aggro high? Because your DMG is high. If it was lower than sorc or wiz, boss would not go after you. And trust me, 100% aggro won't make any difference if you don't know how to control your aggro.
