A player made a suggestion to make some of the support class buffs affect the whole party to save time buffing. I think it's a good idea but I'm trying to think if there would be any negatives to this, like some buffs overwriting others or buffs that some classes do not want etc.

The candidates for this would probably be:
Saint
Earthen Blessing 2
Potential Growth 3
Pyre Blessing 2
Colossal Capability 3
Aquatic Blessing 2

Prophet
Potential Growth 2
Bestowed Agility 3
Natural Power 3

If you play one of theses classes, please let me know your thoughts and if there would be any drawbacks to doing this.

is it like aura ? or aoe buff haha ?

if its aura , i disagree
1st >> so i must stay near the support, and as healer i usualy stay far away from tanker for instance so the boss aoe dont hit me.
2nd >> how if raid , we cant put support on each party of raid , gonna lack dps

if its aoe buff , like GM usually do hmm , kinda interesting

this is my opinion , any one else :D

i like the idea. in BF it would make it easy/quick to rebuff fallen party members. healers would no longer need to look to see who all has lost their buffs, just rebuff every so often. I don't think it would make much difference though in outcome of BF though, usually team with healer wins anyway. Maybe in FM and CTF it would make a small difference since teams have to split up and players die a lot more since only flags count - quick rebuff would help there. Again, I don't think it would make much difference though because if you have a Prophet in a flag match it's tough to lose anyway.

Would buff go away when not in party? or would it stay for 30m per usual even after party disband? I

Would it work for bestowed 2 from saint? or not because prophet has bestowed 3?

Just to clarify, it wouldn't be an aura - the buffs would remain exactly the same as they are now - only difference would be that the Saint/Prophet could buff everyone in the party with one cast of the skill, instead of using it individually on each player. It's simply a time saver - buff everyone at once.

Not aura no, exactly the same as it is now but the Saint/Prophet would only need to cast the skill one time and the whole party would receive the buff. Exactly like the GM buff yes.

would be nice if its like sorc meteor circle , so just put people together and buff in aoe , circle cast like meteor,

cause if its area effect from self , if saint and prophet to close they can overwrite buffes

ty for update sedy xD , just another opinion

It wouldn't be a circle/area type cast, it would just be cast on the entire party. The saint/prophet would target themselves or another player and cast the buff and everyone in range would get it - exactly like some of their AoE heals they already have now.

But yes, the overwriting of buffs is my main concern. Are there any situations where buffs could get overwritten by something less desirable? ie, does Saint have any buff that might overwrite a more beneficial buff, either from itself or from a Prophet and vice versa?

Yes, Colossal and Natural overwrite each other (saint and proph) (this is more attack vs def.. so eg tank might prefer nat, but dps prefer pyre)

pyre/aquatic/earthern also overwrite each other (saint) (again a preference thing, some ppl want hp some want attack)

the main candidates are bestowed and potential ability imho.
Or if we have enough SP, add another level of the skill that is aoe haha!

Btw, why do buffs have a cd of 3sec? Not really an issue for self buffs, but when you have to buff 18 ppl.............

id rather not have any overwritten buffs especially from saint/prophets makes it hard to dungeon as tank and unless u have a good healer you gonna die. never a good mix. overwriting auras that give tanks agro bad

Hello everyone :v (that's really long time i didn't wrote anything here xD )

I was stalking the forums and i read it... thats a great idea btw. and those "Overwrite buffs issues"... may i ask if is possible to set 2 functions to buffs? i.e

1: no target = when there is no target to a player, the buff works like aoe*

2: Target= if there is anyone targeted, the buff will be applied on him, so, no overwrite.

Also the AOE of buffs may differ according to they nature, i mean, Colossal capability and nature power overwrite each other, since they have the same strength. So, they range should be shorter to make sure only the ones who wants the buff will get them, since they'll need to get a bit close to the saint/prophet. About the Bestowed Agility and Potential growth, they should remain the wide range, since everyone want the better one, only the better one will stay ( potential growth 2 wont overwrite potential 3, and vice versa). The target function, if its possible, should be applied to saint's blessings...

I hope i was useful here.

    P.S. = Sedy, u'r the best !

as being a prophet for few years it would help a lot to save time but as everyone already stated it, the overwritting is the problem especially when it comes to colossal and natural buffs.

if it will be possible to do, make it around 5m radius from the targetted ally so people who dont want the buff can stay a bit away in order to not get the buff, or get close if they want to

or another suggestion is a turn on and off aoe button for these specific buffs so that incase you need to only buff one ally and not the rest of them with a risk of overwritting other buff

    Negative problem:

    Earthen Blessing 2
    Pyre Blessing 2
    Aquatic Blessing 2

example: when i want earthen blessing coz im joining bf: i got buff earthen from saint already, but someone who dont like me will buff with Aquatic. (so he keep spam that buff)

    Ofcoz not everyone do it.

I think an option for it to be an AoE cast would be nice, or some radius of it? Like the range of a sage circle? So if you need to buff people in your party. all the people who need the buff stand near their healer.
As of people who need another buff like natural, dont go near the healer range of it :)
