Hello, so Im bringing up this whole post for some ideas and suggestions I came up with and some other players also mentioned before. And well I would like to suggest them maybe one of them could become useful or become a reality later in the game.

Dyes for costume parts
As most players might know from other mmo, there are tons of fashion in some games which make your character feel more unique and fit your taste as well. It would be nice if we could use different type of dyes in the game for the costumes. This would make you feel a lot more unique and could fit some of the new wings released.

New hairstyles and eyes
Just as the dyes idea, this is a fashion related idea. It would be awesome to be able to see new type of hairstyles or type of eyes and also colors for both of them. To make the experience of uniqueness increase.

something like this maybe xD

New costume part
This one as well is a fashion idea, and I think it could have been included on the previous one. But I just put it apart because it could be just another thing to add to the game if ever. This new costume part it could be pupils, to add different eye colors or eye forms. Also, this part wouldn’t really need to give any extra stat, it would be nice if it was just for the sake of fashion.

And well as mentioned before these are just ideas that could help somehow to increase the players population, in some of the recent Asian mmo the options for fashions are extremely wide and this help to lure new players since this give the uniqueness feel I was talking about previously, which is one of the things that help players to keep coming to the game.

Upgrading healer’s glove with or without enhancement effect
I think many healers might agree on this point, since its not that different to add an effect on a healer glove at level 100. Since the effects aren’t really helpful for the healer work, the effects available as you know are critical or hit chance. We were talking about before in guild, that it would be nice to have the protection enhancement in gloves instead of having it on chest, because most of the people would rather go with absorb instead of protection on the chest part most of the times. And this could give to healers something useful to enhance with the gloves, instead of choosing something that a DPS or tanker would need to do their work.

Blood craze usefulness
Regarding the crusader, this skill is a must (Blood Craze) if you want to unlock vampiric curse which is a useful skill for the class. Whilst Vampiric curse is useful, Blood craze seems to lack on that department, specially cause it’s a skill on the crusader skill tab. It would be nice if it could be changed for a different type of debuff (A small DOT) or change it to a buff type (Hit chance for example).

Magical Resistance 2 usefulness
Regarding the sniper class, this skill is also a must for any sniper if you want to unlock Engage, Disengage, Flak attack and storm of marksmanship 2.
For this one also it would be nice if it could be transformed in something that could help to this class, for example instead of being an evasion buff, it could be nice if it was turned into magical defense or magical protection. Im not talking about turning it into a monstrous buff, just give it a slightly usefulness to the sniper build.

About raids…
Just as crystalisk and Catacombs before, the raids are always something welcome in any type of mmo. I know its hard to get enough people to do a raid nowadays cause the population of the game isn’t big as it was before, which is the reason why I would like to suggest making this raid similar to Garden of Baphomet, which has a escalated difficulty depending on the amount of players doing the dungeon. And to make this raid active so it doesn’t go to oblivion like some dungeons did before, it would be nice if unique drops could be added to this raid dungeon (Animal VI cards for example). Obviously, the drop rate could be increased or lowered depending on the difficulty and number of players just to make it attractive and more fun to do. I even went ahead and found this entrance for the raid maybe xD.

Regarding dungeon entrances…
I remember some years ago, the dungeon entrances were all together, which was super convenient because it helped speeding the entrance and exit to the dungeons.I know it gives some extra realism to put them apart, but just saying It would be nice if we could see this back again hehe…

I can't give much of an educated comment on skills or dungeons but I would like to see more variety in cosmetics. I agree that many other MMO's have put a lot of work into adding costumes and character customisation options to make players develop their own unique character(s).
I can understand it would be a lot of effort to create more detailed costume pieces but more minor things like contacts and hair styles/colours would be a good start.

    Costumes
Would be lovely to have a dye system for costumes and I have looked into it briefly in the past but wasn't really sure about the best way to go about adding it. From my research I saw that some games have their costume textures setup with red/green/blue colours only which makes it easier to replace them programatically. This would be the easiest to implement but it would mean retexturing all existing costumes which is no small feat. And some games just have a normal texture and let you pick one or two of the colours to change with a dye. This be the least disruptive since existing textures would not need to be modified.

It's not something I will look at just yet though because we have performance issues with costumes/mantles as it is - I don't want to make it worse by adding even more calculations to the client. I want to fix the performance issues first before adding something like this.

Also, in my opinion, we have quite the selection of costumes that mostly go unused, not due to how they look, but because of stats. I tried to remedy that by making the stats standard, so all classes could choose whichever costume they liked the look of rather than what stats it has, but because of the 5 part moolah costumes, we have a similar issue now with those being prefered due to the stats on them being more focused on the classes. I considered making costumes reforgable like armor, so you could change the look of your already purchased and carded costume, but there is a bit of an issue with splitting the onepiece costumes into separate pieces on most of them - they were designed to be used as one piece and have invisible areas and missing bits when they are used as individual parts - so they cannot really be used to reforge individual parts (hands, feet, legs, chest etc). They could only be used to reforge another onepiece costume. So this wouldn't really help much since most prefer those 5 part costumes.

    Eyes
This would be interesting. I like the idea of having Contact Lenses. But rather than adding yet another item slot and items, it could just be done with the Plastic Surgery Scroll. Basically would just need to add more variations to the existing face choices, so instead of having 8 face styles, we could have 8 face styles that each have several different eye colours or even some funkier lense types. These could only be available from Plastic Surgery and not at the character creation.

    Hair
This one is actually more difficult because I do not have the original 3D model source files for character parts. I could probably reverse engineer the final models with some time and patience but 3D modeling is not my strongest point, so I'm not sure this will ever see the light of day unfortunately. I have tried to use models from other games for hair but it's never worked out due to model and animation differences.

Color changes to existing hair models is doable though, and very slight changes to the looks of existing hair styles. In fact, the Dye system might be a good fit for hair. Allow players to use a Dye item to change the colour.

    Healers
Ok so healer items. I get asked this a lot regarding different items and it being unfair to healers. The problem is, healers are so focused on only a few stats to make them viable, having those stats available on everything would make it much easier for them to build their characters compared to everyone else, and completely unbalance their healing capability compared to damage. I realise it's not that black and white, but that is the reason why not all options available suit the healer classes.

However, regarding the glove enhancements. I will leave it as it is for now because one of those stats will likely become very useful for healers in the not to distant future as I am considering some changes to healing. I won't go into detail about it now because it still just a maybe.

    Skills
The idea for the Crusader's Blood Boil skill was that it could be used in PvP against ranged classes, since it has additional range for a melee skill, to reduce their hit right down so a glitch cast became less lethal, or a knockback or other debuff misses, and allow the Crusader some time to get on top of them.
And also in PvE to reduce a bosses chance to hit when it's about to do an AoE so you don't have to bother running away and continue to stand in melee range and do your damage, or help the tank take less damage while the healer catches up. Lots of different uses really.

Magical Resistance - yes I agree, the idea of an Evasion based ranged class doesn't hold true anymore like it used to. I mostly moved away from putting Evasion on ranged gear due to player requests ever since the 3rd jobs were introduced. I think changing it to Magic Protection would be more useful indeed.

    Raids
Yep I would love to add a new raid dungeon. Been itching to start working on one again since I enjoyed making Catacombs - it's just very time consuming and I worry it will be wasted effort due to lack of interest from players. I guess I will just have to make it worthwhile in some way or another :D I like the oldschool idea of having raids as public dungeons where you can get PKd as the original level 85 Catacombs raid was, but I got mixed messages from players regarding that - some loved it and some hated it.

I think currently, it would probably be best to make a short raid dungeon - with a few trash monsters and a boss, rather than a real dungeon crawl like Catacombs. I think it's a bit difficult to get the players to join and stay for anything time consuming these days with this mentality of now now now, faster faster faster.

Using the same or similar system as I made for Garden of Baphomet could work, but when I think of a raid dungeon I think of difficulty and mechanics to learn and work around. I don't think it could be made to work for solo or duo play - if it's a raid, it should be raid difficulty and actually require a certain amount of players. Maybe something along the lines of Crystalisk would be the best option for now. Something short with a few trash monsters to clear and then the boss.

As for dungeon entry NPCs. I actually dislike the fact they are all in town, even if they are all spread about it now compared to a few years back where they were all in one area. I would actually prefer if the entrances were portals in the actual maps the dungeon belongs to so you have to travel there. Having them all in town makes the game feel like a lobby type game rather than an open world game. Traveling to the dungeon is more immersive, or at least it would be if it wasn't for instant teleports :P But no, I don't think I would ever put all the dungeons NPCs back in one area - there are too many of them now. It was fine back then because there were fewer dungeons. I think any future dungeon NPCs will not be placed in town at all if I can help it.

True, maybe what it could be done is something like the face costumes drop that can be exchanged to fit the stats you want, just to make it a bit more customizing I guess? And yeah I do understand most of my ideas are things that might not be able to realize because of the way the programed Iris, which it wasnt really an optimal way.

This would be great, as long as its not that complicated and can generate a better impression regarding the game in general about customization thats nice already.

    Hair

Color changes to existing hair models is doable though, and very slight changes to the looks of existing hair styles. In fact, the Dye system might be a good fit for hair. Allow players to use a Dye item to change the colour.

Yes, that would be great if we had a dye system for hair style as well, in fact it could be added as well to the Surgery scroll as well, but idk if it would make it harder to create. Either way it would be great as long as is not too complicated or time consuming and it can generate benefit as well the player population. Because as I told you most asian mmo attract players like this, you just have to look at Aura kingdom and its all about fashion, because the gaming its just plain and no difficulty at all.

    Healers
However, regarding the glove enhancements. I will leave it as it is for now because one of those stats will likely become very useful for healers in the not to distant future as I am considering some changes to healing. I won't go into detail about it now because it still just a maybe.

Alrighty, the idea just came cause mostly is not really directed to healer at all. But I do understand over powering healers its not something we want either.

I mostly moved away from putting Evasion on ranged gear due to player requests ever since the 3rd jobs were introduced. I think changing it to Magic Protection would be more useful indeed.

Oh alrighty, just assumed the skill wasnt really that helpful on crusader build since most classes hit chance is rather high in pvp at least. I do understand Crusader is already stronger than it was before when Berzeker/Warlock online was a thing. And to be honest is nice to see other classes shine. Hopefully we will see SB and Myrm shine as well cause both of them are nice and cool classes as well.
About the sniper, yeah before the eva sniper was a thing but now its just a buff you have to forcefully get to unlock other skills that are actually useful. Still any change it would be nice to see them.

    Raids
Yep I would love to add a new raid dungeon. This just remind me of World of Warcraft raids, which would last days to clear, like Naxxramas. I dont know how hard this would be but long raids could be reset weekly just to make it worthwhile in content and also to give it some difficulty to players to clear.

    As for dungeon entry NPCs
LoL well yeah thats true, guess its fair enough regarding this point.

Blood Boil - that's just my take on it. If it's actually useful or not in reality is another story of course, and depends on how and where it's used. Not all skills can be perfectly suited to everyone's playstyle, and with so many skills it's difficult to make everything useful. Some skills are fillers made to make you spend SP to get to something better. It's not so obvious with the 3rd job since nearly all of them have some kind of debuff but if you look at the 1st/2nd there are plenty of filler skills in those trees.

Raids. It's not currently possible to make a dungeon reset once per week because of the server restart we have every night. When a dungeon server restarts all progress is lost and it resets all spawns. It could be changed to save progress into the database I suppose but it wouldn't be straight forward to implement. The nightly restart was introduced due to server stability issues at the time - no idea how it would be these days with a lot of those old bugs fixed, I haven't tested it on the live server. I leave my local server running for days without issues but it's only me logging in and out of it so it's not really getting stressed like the live.

Yeah thats true, well guess it can be left as it is and see how to use it more.

Ah thats sad, even though I would have liked seeing something like those raids back in World of Warcraft. Still the idea of a new raid its nice and well maybe add a raid like boss with different mechanics it would be a nice pace of change in the game. Just like those hell mode dungeons it would be nice to see them fused in another raid boss like. To level up the difficulty in some way but also rewarding enough so ppl actually do try. Because just like the dungeon of TLC, it got somehow abandoned cause there wasnt many rewards involved for higher lvls.

magic resistance skill is useless for sniper. it could be useful if it was changes to physical evasion buff.. it would help them alittle. for example eva sniper build is possible. not everyone has high hit rate. .

before lvl85 sniper had a weapon that gives effect like -300hit to enemy. mybe if sedy can give other weapon drop same effect. if it would give non gcaster a fighting chances against those gcast user. a few miss is enough to hit back with silence or immoblize to enemy and disrupt there gcast .
and lvl100 monster still miss on a 330evasion.
