Hey guys, the next update should happen on the 1st Dec.

CHRISTMAS
Halloween is now over and Terminus has been redecorated for Christmas. Marie is in town with her Christmas dailies and the Christmas Shushu has been spotted roaming Arcana.


NEW FEATURE
Weapon Reforging
Weapons can now be "Reforged" to look like another weapon. The stats of the weapon, enhancements, and embedded cards remain unchanged, it's just the "look" of the weapon that will change. Reforging is a permanent process and cannot be removed, but the weapon can be Reforged as many times as you like to change it's appearance.

To Reforge a weapon you need to speak to new Terminus resident Xavier the Weaponsmith. You can find him in the blacksmith area next to Barecalf. Click on the Reforge button to open the Reforging interface and drag your weapon to the Weapon slot and drag another weapon to the Schematic slot. The weapon you drag to the Schematic Slot will be destroyed in the process and it's "look" transferred to the weapon in the Weapon slot.

Example: You want your Crystalisk's Spine staff to look like Livid's Pea Pod staff. Drag Crystalisk's Spine to the Weapon slot and Pea Pod to the Schematic slot. Pea Pod will be destroyed and your Crystalisk's Spine will now look like a Pea Pod staff.



As well as being able to use normal weapons as the schematic, you can use brand new weapon design schematics. I have added over 500 AK designs to the game, some of these are drops and some are from vendors for tears and moolah - Xavier has a selection for sale already in his store and more will be added over time. Most of these will have their own unique enhancement glows when you +10 your weapon - they won't use the usual glows of normal weapons, but some of them won't have any enhancement glow at all. The tooltip of the schematic will have the details.

All of these schematics can be equipped like a weapon so you can check how it looks before using it and there will also be screenshots on nsDB.

All Reforge Schematics are completely tradable and a new section for them has been added to the Sales Agent under Weapons -> Reforge Schematics, so if you come across one you don't need, put it on the Sales Agent.

One last thing. Rods and Staffs are considered the same when it comes to Reforging so you can use Rods as a schematic for Staffs and vice-versa.


INTERFACE
New: New web engine based on Google Chrome for ingame web based content such as SlotZ, Shop, Who's Online, Rankings etc. The client no longer depends on you having Internet Explorer installed on your computer. Yay! This means I can safely assume anything I create will look the same to everyone regardless of what version of Internet Explorer they have installed (or not installed at all). This new engine will give me much more flexability when adding web based content to the game, so expect some new stuff soon.

New: Added a link to nsDB on item tooltips when they get linked in chat. Click the small [i] button at the top of the item's tooltip to see the item in nsDB using your default browser.

New: Shift-Right Clicking an item on NPC vendors now shows the item in nsDB in your default browser. This does mean that you can no longer Shift-Right Click to purchase a max stack of items but you can still double-left click to enter a quantity.

Change: Items stacked above 999 pieces will now show their amount instead of the '*'.


GUILD
Guild max level has been increased to level 200. It will not be as easy as level 80-120 because there was a bit of a mixup with the guild experience settings that gave guilds 100x more experience from monsters than they should have been getting, so it was basically 100x easier!

New: Added 7 new ranks of Guild Expansion to increase max amount of guild members to 200.

Change: Ranks 9 and 10 of Brilliant Phase (the guild mark glow) points required increased to 2 and 3.

Change: Agnes's Protection and Dera's Calming points required per rank increased to 3.

Change: Guild Top100 ranking formula will be reverted to how it was before, so it will be calculated purely on the level and experience gained by the guild.

Bugfix: Fixed a bug causing the guild warehouse log to falsely report that a player withdrew large amounts of gold when they only withdrew an item.

Bugfix: Fixed a bug caused by large amounts of guild finance gold causing log spam that could potentially lag the server.


ITEMS
New: Added Name Change Scroll to Sedy. No need to request me to do name changes anymore and since no additional work for me, it's now 5 Moolah, down from 10. After using this scroll you will be automatically logged out to the character selection screen and once you log the character back in you will be asked to change it's name.

New: Dual Swords now also gain Magic Damage from enhancement. This means Dual Swords will give bonus Physical AND Magic Attack. (See Myrmidon notes below).

New: New moolah back costumes added to Lady Galadriel - these are Pink Guitar and Black Guitar.

Change: Sedy, May and Al Rotches no longer sell mounts or pets. Visit the Pet and Mount Merchant, Juba Fovio in Terminus instead.

Change: Several "seasonal" themed costume items and mounts have been removed from Sedy, May and Al Rotches and will only be available from seasonal NPCs (Halloween, Christmas, Easter etc.).

Bugfix: Corrected Gourmet Hawk Eye Delight type to Brain Food.

Bugfix: Fixed drops in Wood Garden Hard - bosses no longer drop level 75 items.


TITLES
New: 5 new battlefield titles and an update to an existing battlefield title.

and [Contender] has been upgraded to:

These are all available from the Battlefield Merchandise Vendor for 1m Battlefield Points.


New: 9 new Moolah titles for December (3 of each, Rage, Devoted and Agile, in 3 different colours, Yellow, Blue and Red). These are all available from Sedy.

ITEM ENHANCEMENT
Bugfix: Rare (Advanced etc.) enhancement cards were not always granting their bonus when enhancing items. This has been corrected.

Bugfix: Enhancement Increase Scroll now properly states in it's tooltip that it also stops you losing an enhance level due to a failed enhancement.

Change: Enhancement rates have been adjusted and some new ones added for premium enhancement cards such as Advanced Master Health, PvP etc. Rates are now as follows:

Change: Advanced and Advanced Master weapon enhancement recipes have been changed to Unique rarity to show that they are premium and have the even better enhancement rates mentioned above.


MONSTERS
Bugfix: Tundro is no longer affected by percentage based bleeds/dots just like the other world bosses.

Bugfix: Frigid Queen Glaceon's Dark Shadows are now classified as Elite and are no longer affected by percentage based bleeds/dots, push, pull, stun, root, silence, sleep etc.

Bugfix: Enslaved Neill 3rd skill fixed - it should now apply it's damage over time effect and are now classified as Elite, not Boss.

Bugfix: Cruel Cletus spawns (Cletus) are now classified as Elite, not Boss.

Bugfix: Training Dummys in Terminus are now immune to push/pull which should fix the bug where you end up in the sky.

Change: Boss type Training Dummys in Terminus are now immune to the same things bosses are immune to to give a more accurate view of your skills on bosses.

Bugfix: Fixed the floating HP bar of monsters for bosses with a lot of HP showing the bar half full even when at full health.


FIRE PIT
New: Characters that logged out of the game or disconnected whilst in the Fire Pit will be moved back to Terminus on their next login.

Bugfix: Fixed an issue with Fire Pit's Resplendent Chest not giving any Moolah. (already active ingame since 25th October).


OTHER STUFF
The "bum" fountain has been rebuilt and is back in Terminus center just for Ray :D

New: New Street Stall and Tarot Stall visual effects.

New: Serverwide announcement when players "win trade", ie, use two accounts to kill eachother for PK points, giving their names and location. Go kill them!

PK Top 100 ranking has been reset.


CLASS SKILLS
Bugfix: The damage absorb cap that was implemented several updates ago didn't take into account damage absorb from skills stacking with damage absorb from items and enhancements - that has now been fixed. Players can still obtain 100% "damage block" by stacking some Damage Reflect so you might still come across occassions where a player will take 0 damage for a moment, notably those with high amounts of reflect such as Champion, but only for a short time whilst their reflect skills are activated.

Change: 2nd job skills that remove buffs have had their efficiency level normalised so that all classes are now at 6/7 efficiency. Some were incorrectly set at 10 and some were too low. Everyone is equal now.

Change: Many skills that grant absorb shields or layer shields have been updated with new visual effects to indicate there is a shield activate.


Knight
Force Control efficiency increased to 6/7. (Normalisation of all 2nd job skills that can remove buffs).


Guardian
Falcon Slash efficiency reduced to 6/7. (Normalisation of all 2nd job skills that can remove buffs).

Barrier has a new visual effect.


Mercenary
Medusa Strike efficiency increased to 6/7. (Normalisation of all 2nd job skills that can remove buffs).


Barbarian
Penetrating Edge 2 now has a low chance to grant Penetration for 15s, granting 30/40/50/60/70% ignore defense (Physical AND Magic). (Same low chance as Mercenary's Chilled Tempest Penetration).

Oblivion effiency increased to 6/7. (Normalisation of all 2nd job skills that can remove buffs).


Myrmidon
Myrmidon Phoenix Stance skills (magic) damage will be increased by the Dual Swords enhancement change mentioned above. On a top-tier level 85 weapon you should expect to gain around 3000 base magic damage plus a lot more from title/costume/skill percentage increases. On a geared level 85 you should expect to gain around 4-5k magic damage from this change.

Phoenix's Fervor now grants 100/175/250 Magic Crit instead of 5/10/15% Max Mana. The additional mana gained from attacks whilst Phoenix's Fervor is active (from the crit and the extra attack from enhanced weapons) will more than make up for the loss in max mana.


Warrior
Behead ignore defense increased to 20/30/40/50%.

Berserked Assault ignore defense increased to 30/40/50/60%.


Gladiator
Destruction ignore defense increased to 60/70%.

Bugfix: Charge 2 tooltip incorrectly shows rank 2 ITD as 75% when it's actually 50%. However, it has now been increased to 60% and tooltip updated.


Berserker
Torrent Slash efficiency reduced to 5/6/7. (Normalisation of all 2nd job skills that can remove buffs).

Destruction ignore defense increased to 70/80% but it's efficiency has been reduced back to the original 5/6. (Duration ignore defense now stacks with Vanquisher's Raging Sweep/Relentless Assault 3, but ignore defense now capped at 90%).

Shockwave ignore defense increased to 20/25/30/35/40/45/50%.

Bugfix: Charge 2 tooltip incorrectly shows rank 2 ITD as 75% when it's actually 50%. However, it has now been increased to 60% and tooltip updated.


Vanquisher
This class really needs some help since it was designed around having massive damage with the old broken 100% ITD which was fixed. ITD numbers have been increased and more importantly, duration based ITD has been increased and allowed to stack. The class also has mobility issues but that goes hand in hand with having massive damage so not TOO much can be changed in that respect but a few changes to Rage-neration, Frenzied Edge, and Forceful Throw should help to gain ground and keep targets in place.

Raging Sweep no longer shares with Destruction meaning it can be used whilst Destruction is active and vice-versa but it's efficiency has been reduced to 5/6. The amount of armor ignored whilst active has been increased to 70/80%. (Duration ignore defense now stacks with Destruction/Relentless Assault 3, but ignore defense now capped at 90%).

Relentless Assaults 3 initial ignore defense increased to 20/30/40/50/60% and it's duration ignore defense increased to 60/65/70/75/80% for 3s. (Duration ignore defense now stacks with Destruction/Raging Sweep but ignore defense now capped at 90%).

Decisive Strike and Raging Sweep no longer shares with Destruction meaning they can be used whilst Destruction is active.

Rage-neration no longer causes Skill Paralysis allowing it to be used to chase down an enemy instead of just to escape.

Frenzied Edge cooldown reduced to 60s and no longer causes you to be stunned. The health lost on using the skill recovers over the next 10s. It still stuns the target for 2/3/4s.

Forceful Throw now reduces Movement Speed by 70% at all ranks and ranks 2/3 duration increased to 4/5 seconds.

Skill Paralysis no longer slows targets by 20% but instead grants Silence as well as Skill Paralysis.

Impale ignore defense increased to 45/60/75%.

Shockwave 2 ignore defense now at 30/35/40/45/50/55/60%.

Celestial Slaughter ignore magic defense increased to 75% and changed to a single hit, not double. Bigger numbers are more fun!

Bugfix: Beastial Slaughter 3 rank 7's Boss Hunter (50% boss damage) buff fixed.

Bugfix: Rage-neration heal now shows the amount. It was always healing before, just not showing the numbers.

I'm hoping these changes will be enough to breath some life back into this forgotten class, but it could be too much and overpower it. Only time and your feedback will tell and more changes can be made, and should be expected.


A few notes on Armor Penetration (ITD).
Type
There are two types of Armor Penetration skill. Instant ITD and Duration ITD. Instant ITD is how much defense a particular skill ignores when it hits and Duration ITD is a buff that makes all of your skills ignore armor EXCEPT for skills with Instant ITD on them. If you have a Duration ITD buff active (like Destruction or Relentless Assault 3) and you use a skill that has an Instant ITD on it (like Impale, Shockwave 2), the armor actually ignored will be from the Instant ITD, so it's actually counter-productive to use Instant ITD skills whilst a Duration ITD is active if the Instant ITD percentage is lower than that of the Duration ITD percentage.

Duration Cap
Duration ITD skills (Destruction, Relentless Assault and Raging Sweep) will now stack but Duration ITD is capped at 90%, meaning using Destruction with it's 80% Duration ITD and Relentless Assault with it's 80% Duration ITD will grant you 90% ITD, not 160%.


Adventurer
Blue Wind Aegis has a new visual effect.


Shadow Walker
Protection Aura 2 has a new visual effect.


Assassin
Bugfix: Dark Seed - Bug fixed that caused it to instantly activate the target's wearing cards making the skill completely useless.

Protection Aura 3 has a new visual effect.


Sniper
Another class that needs some help due to really low defenses and not much in the way of escape skills. Not too many changes here but I am still looking at this class and there will likely be further changes, either to skills or itemisation.

Conceal 3 replaced with new skill: Fade (120s cooldown) (2 ranks)
Ancient magic refracts the light around you, rendering you less visible, healing you for 16k/20k and then more over time. However, should you get hit, your concentration will break and the healing will end.
Grants 16k/20k immediate heal + 2k/3k per second + reduced size -35%/-45% for 10 seconds or until hit.

Storm Marksmanship 2 now reduces your Physical Defense by 10%/15%/20% instead of fixed numbers. This should result in much less defense lost when using this skill.

Markmanship 2 increased slightly to 150/200/250 Physical Hit and now additionally grants 100/150/200 Range.

Bullet Time bonus damage increased slightly to 35/45% and has a new visual effect.

Mortal Impact 3 stun duration increased to 2s/3s at ranks 2/3.

Flak Attack has a new visual effect.

Engage now grants 10/15/20% Ranged Attack Power/Physical Crit and reduces Physical Defense by 10/15/20%.

Disengage now grants 12/24/36 Movement Speed, 10/18/25% All Defense and reduces Ranged Attack Power by 10/15/20%.

Track Movement Speed reduction increased to -15/-30%.


Sharp Shooter
Conceal 3 replaced with new skill: Fade (120s cooldown) (2 ranks)

Elemental Exposure reverted to it's previous numbers for reducing defense. -1000/-2500/-4000. It's still too high for a 1st job skill but most importantly, it reduces the amount of defense the 3rd job (Sorcerer) can now stack.


Warlock
Wind Fortification has a new visual effect.


Magician
Ice Shield has a new visual effect.


Wizard
Ice Prison has a new visual effect.


Priest
Cognitive Shield has a new visual effect.


Sage
Sanctioned Grace has a new visual effect.


Prophet
Bugfix: Cure 2 can no longer be used to heal an enemy.
