The server will be down for 2 hours tonight from 22:00-00:00 (server time) to perform a routine maintenance and apply updates.

USER INTERFACE
Item Icon Updates
Since increasing the size of icon textures in the last update I haven't been very happy with how they look - a lot of detail was lost when the icons were increased in size, and they were not particularly detailed to begin with. So, almost every single item icon in the game has been rerendered from the actual model of the item for armors, costumes, weapons, and mounts.

For other items that do not have an actual game model, like accessories, consumables, cards, quest items etc. the icons have been recreated from purchased assets, borrowed and reworked from other games, or in some cases created from scratch. I'm no artist but a simple icon isn't too difficult - just time consuming when you have thousands of icons to get through! I tried to keep the new icons similar in style to the old ones so it shouldn't be too jarring when you first see them, but many icons have changed completely.

Overall, icons are now much more detailed and sharp, especially if you currently utilise Windows Scaling on a high resolution display, and will look even better when I add interface scaling at a later date, as you will be able to increase the size of icons in many UI elements like the skill bars, buff/debuff display, inventory etc.

UI Icon Size
The icon size of the following interfaces have been increased slightly:
Main inventory and bags
Main warehouse and bags
Hero window equipped items
Pet window equipped items and skills
Pet skills window
Skill bars
Skills window
Stores
Shopping mall
Exchange stores
Player trade
Stalls
Auction house
Assistant skill materials and results
Guild Perks
Giftbox
Target unit frame buffs/debuffs
Buffs and debuffs window

Monster Debuff Icon Changes
Monster debuff icons have been recreated as promised, and hopefully represent the debuffs more clearly than before.

Debuffs have swapped places with premium buffs/server event buffs and are now at the bottom and they have also increased in size slightly which should help you to notice them more easily than before.

/images/iris/july2019/debuff_icons.jpg

Debuff icons will no longer flash when they have 10s or less remaining. The majority of debuffs last 12s or below so they start flashing almost immediately and there is not really any purpose to it - it just makes it more difficult to see what the debuff is. It makes sense for buff icons to flash as they generally last a lot longer than debuffs and it helps you notice when they need to be reapplied, so they will continue to flash when there is 10s or less remaining.

Damage Display Updates
Updated the damage display font for crits and non-crits, and the damage font animation of crits back to the original Iris crit animation - sparkles!

/images/iris/july2019/damage_display.jpg

To reduce lag and frame rate loss, when attacking a monster in a party or raid you will now only see you and your pet's damage displayed - you will no longer see the damage numbers of party/raid members and their pets.

Attacking players in PvP remains as it was - you see all damage numbers from all players/pets. Should this also be changed to only show your own damage? Let me know.

The only downside to this change that I can really think of is that it might be a bit more difficult to know which monster is being focused by the tank and other members of the party, but you can always use Assist.

Skill Bar Lock Feature
You can now lock your skill bars and icons to prevent accidently moving them or dragging icons out of their slot. Click the new padlock icon next to the main skill bar to lock/unlock.

/images/iris/july2019/skillbar_lock.jpg

You can still drag items and skills onto a locked bar, replacing whatever was in the slot - locking just prevents you from moving icons out of the bar, or moving the actual bars.

UI Buttons
A lot of buttons have changed from text to a simple tick for OK, Yes, Submit, Start or any type of agree, and the universal symbol for no (red crossed circle) for Cancel, No, Stop or any type of disagree.

/images/iris/july2019/ui_buttons.jpg

Note: This change was made to make it easier for non-English speaking players but if you feel I went a bit overboard replacing some UI buttons with the symbols and it doesn't feel intuitive or isn't obvious what they do somewhere, please let me know so I can revert it.

The window Close button has been updated on nearly all windows to match the one used by the Shopping Mall and Skill interface.

UI Text
Several text areas in the UI were getting cut off/shortened when Windows Scaling was 150% or higher, including the player/monster name in the Target of Target unit frame, the gold amount in the main inventory window, and a few other places - these have all been corrected.

Sealed Item Correction & Changes
Corrected a bug with the Auction House not displaying Resealed items correctly - it was showing the icon overlay for an original sealed item instead.

The icon overlay that represents if an item is sealed or resealed has been updated to a simple S in the bottom left corner of the item's icon. Yellow for Sealed (original, never resealed) and blue for Resealed.

/images/iris/july2019/sealed_icon.jpg

Target of Target Unitframe
The Target of Target unit frame now works when your friendly target is using a channeled skill like Meteor Shower.

Combat
Entering and leaving combat is now displayed in the action text area below your character.

GUILD
The guild interface has been given a major facelift and received some quality of life improvements.

When an unguilded player opens the guild interface they will now be given the option to create their own guild (without visiting the Guild Master NPC) or to find a guild that is recruiting new players.

/images/iris/july2019/guild_unguilded.jpg

Clicking the FIND A GUILD button will open the new Guild Finder, where guilds that are currently recruiting new players will be listed.

/images/iris/july2019/guild_finder.jpg

To apply to join a guild the player can select it from the list and click the APPLY TO JOIN button, or if available, the JOIN NOW button that will instantly add them to the guild without waiting for a guild member to invite them.

Guild Leaders can add their guild to the guild finder by opening the new Guild Management tab of the Guild interface, and ticking the GUILD IS RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS tickbox and entering some text to advertise their guild and let potential new members know of any special requirements before they apply to join.

If you want your guild to be open, you can click the INSTANT JOIN tickbox so that players can join your guild instantly without waiting for their application to be accepted. They will join the guild with the Recruit rank and will be unable to withdraw gold or items from the guild warehouse until you promote them.

/images/iris/july2019/guild_manage.jpg

Players that apply to join the guild are added to the new Guild Applications tab and an announcement that the guild has a new application will be displayed in guild chat. Guild members that have permission to invite to the guild (Leader, Elders and Officers) can view this tab, where they will find a list of players that have applied to join.

/images/iris/july2019/guild_applications.jpg

Right clicking an entry displays a popup menu with options to Examine, Whisper or Mail the player, accept* their application (invite them), or deny their application. Denying the application will remove them from the list and send them a mail telling them that their application was denied.
* The player must be online to accept them, just like a normal guild invite.

Guild Join Cooldown
Leaving a guild now activates a 1 hour cooldown before you can join, or apply to join, another guild.

Guild Info Tab

/images/iris/july2019/guild_info.jpg

You can now see the guild members last login date in the members list - no need to hover your mouse to see the tooltip anymore.

You can now sort the guild member list by guild rank, player name, class or last login date by clicking the sort buttons next to the list headings.

Guild rank (Leader, Officer, Member etc.) images have been added to the member list.

The guild established date is now shown in the left panel along with the guild name, leader, member count etc.

The guild notice/message size has been increased from 80 to 255 characters and will now only display in the chat when you login, not every time you move map.

A new popup menu will now appear when you right-click an entry in the members list allowing you to Examine, Whisper, Mail, Add to Friends, and Invite to party or raid.

/images/iris/july2019/guild_info_menu.jpg

There will be additional entries in the popup menu for members with the Leader/Elder ranks, allowing them to change a member's rank, and Kick from guild for the Leader.

Guild Union Tab

/images/iris/july2019/guild_union.jpg

Your guild union will now be automatically loaded when you switch to the Union tab.

The union guild's established date is now shown in the left panel along with the guild name, leader, member count, guild mark etc.

The guild union members list is now sorted by guild rank.

Guild rank (Leader, Officer, Member etc.) images have been added to the guild union member list.

The guild union members list now defaults to only showing online players but respects the Show Offline Members checkbox if you wish to view offline members too.

The guild union members list now shows the player's last login date.

A new popup menu will now appear when you right-click an entry in the union members list allowing you to Examine, Whisper, Mail, Add to Friends, and Invite to party or raid.

Guild Management Tab

/images/iris/july2019/guild_manage.jpg

All guild management functions have been moved to the new Guild Management tab. This tab will only show for the Guild Leader. Here you can set the Guild Mark, Warehouse and Guild Bank permissions, withdraw guild finances, and adjust recruitment settings for the new Guild Finder.

BUGFIX: There was a bug with the Withdraw Items and Withdraw Gold dropdowns showing the incorrect rank and it also had them around the wrong way. This has now been corrected and all guilds have been set to Elder/Elder, so guild leaders please set them again when you login.

The Recruit rank has been removed from the Withdraw Items and Withdraw Gold setting dropdowns, the minimum rank for these is now Member.

The Kick button has been removed from Guild Management - to a kick a player, simply right click their entry in the Guild Information tab's member list and select Kick from guild from the new popup menu.

Guild Perks Tab

/images/iris/july2019/guild_perks.jpg

The guild perks have been reordered according to their guild level requirements.

Icons have been updated and increased in size.

STORES
Double clicking an item in a store and entering the amount you require will now allow you to select more than 100 pieces of the item, up to the maximum capacity of the item (the amount of items that can be stacked in one inventory slot). So for most potions, this would be 500.

Shift right clicking will now buy an entire stack of the item (the amount of the item that can be stacked in one inventory slot) if you have enough currency - otherwise it will buy the amount you can afford. Be warned that as always there is no confirmation message when you do this!

FRIENDS & BLACKLIST
Blacklisted players can no longer send you mails.

Blacklisted players can no longer challenge you to a duel.

Corrected the error message when attempting to add a friend when your friends list is already full - it now says that your list is full instead of "You can not add yourself as a friend".

COMMANDS
Assist Bugfix
The Assist command (target and attack your friendly target's target) now works correctly when your friendly target is using a channeled skill.

PETS
Commanding a pet to attack your target and pet Auto-Attack mode now work correctly when using channeled skills.

Pet Intensify Improvement
You can now drag a stack of Tonics into the intensify window's Tonic slot and just keep clicking the Submit button to use your tonics instead of having to drag them one by one into the slot.

/images/iris/july2019/pet_tonics.jpg

Note: I will also improve how Pet Skill Book Combining & Monster DNA Splicing work in the next update as I didn't have time to get them finished.

Pet Tooltip Additions
You can now see the pets auto-attack debuff type (Physical, Magic or Poison) and the debuff's duration in the tooltip of Pet Summoning Scrolls and Monster DNA.

Fixed several Sorcerer and Wizard skills that were using the wrong icons.

Changed several skill icons that were being shared by various different skills:
Sorcerer's Wind Fortification
Fighter's Robust Protection
Barbarian/Myrmydon's Hemorrage

Range Issues
Due to server and client issues caused by excessive skill range, caps to skill range and the distance of knockback/pull skills are being introduced:
Skills with charge+attack or teleport+attack will no longer exceed 10m base target range.

Skills with pulls will not exceed 10m base target range.
Skills with knockbacks will not exceed 8m knockback distance.
Skill base target range will not exceed 20m and not exceed 40m in total (with +Range stat).

These changes affect the following skills:

MONSTERS
Knockback & Pull Skill Changes
As with players, monster skill range for knockbacks and pulls have been reduced:
Many monster skills with knockback had their knockback distance reduced, some considerably.

Some monster skills with pulls had their skill range reduced as well as distance of the pull to match.

Corrected an issue with pull skills of the following monsters and transformations:
Kraken
Lost Mysterion
Cletus
Sraclone

Corrected an issue with knockback skills of the following monsters and transformations that could possibly cause the target of the skill to crash or be moved to invalid map coordinates:
Skilled/Aged Ho Tribe Sorcerer
Leaf/Fire/Autumn/Water/Spring Nymph
Chipmunk Wizard
Tundro (all variants)
Sakun (all variants)
Sraclone
Sraclone's Broodlings
Cringer
Zaras (all modes)
Frecky (all modes)

Okeanos' Summoned Turtle
Ice Lich (all modes)
Ulric

Dummies
Updated the name of the two PvP dummies in Terminus Fort Entrance to show the correct amount of defense that they have.

Added knockback and pull immunity to the PvP dummies in Terminus Fort Entrance.

Okeanos
Okeanos 20s knockout dot now has a visual effect around the player.

DUNGEONS
Hell Modes
Monster Max HP has been reduced again. Monsters now receive a bonus of 10% Max HP per hell mode level, so at Hell Mode 5 monster Max HP is increased by 50% (was 62.5% previously, and 100% originally).

Catacombs (these changes are already activated on the server)
Warders, Skelly Archers, Skelly Rogues, Skelly Fighters, and Cloister Snakes are no longer immune to crowd control effects such as Knockback, Pull, Stun, Immobilize, Sleep, Slow etc.

Catacomb's Warders that are summoned by General Manu are no longer immune to Slow and Sleep. They remain immune to Push, Pull, Root and Stun.

Skerris' Tainted Air aura (continuous damage to players) will now work even if Skerris is pulled from the room, but Containment Field (reduces Skerris' damage and defense) will only affect Skerris when he is still in his room.

The portal in Reach of Trials now takes you directly to The Atrium instead of The Collonade.
The portal from The Atrium to The Collonade has been removed.

Corrected an issue with Manu's Shatter skill. He will now use the skill even if his target is out of range of it so there will be no confusion over the aftereffects of the skill still activating (the ground split effect).

Laioha - All Modes
Frecky's Rake Fist Fly skill now has a cast time and will target an area instead of a player, so you will get a red circle and can avoid it.

BATTLEFIELDS
Level Tier Change
The minimum level for battlefields has been reduced from 40 to 20.
Players of level 20-39 can now join Deathmatch, Flagmatch, Capture the Flag and Colosseum battlefields.
It's unlikely many matches will actually start at this level range but at least any players that do accept the invitation will be able to start collecting some consollation Battlefield Points and reputation as they level up.

Uneven Teams Bugfix
Fixed a bug with uneven battlefield teams - battlefields will always start with an equal amount of players on each side now.

If an odd amount of players accept the invitation for a battlefield, the one with the lowest Hero Rating will be cut and receive some consollation points and reputation, just like if the battlefield didn't start.

The above change could/should also fix the issue with Colosseum where you enter and do not have an opponent but I can't be 100% sure as I haven't been able to reproduce that issue during my tests. Some additional logging has been added to the Colosseum server to help locate the bug if it still exists after this change is introduced.

Colosseum Starting Area
The starting coordinates for Colosseum have been moved very slightly to the back of the room so that your opponent cannot see you even if they have Dynamic Range turned up to maximum. As long as you don't move forward they will not see you.

Battlefield Anonymity
The Friends window and Guild window can no longer be opened while in a battlefield or Colosseum.

GATHERING
Increased the chance of obtaining Sapphire Ore from a Gold Vein.
Increased the chance of obtaining Emerald Ore from a Platinum Vein.
Increased the chance of obtaining Amethyst Ore from a Orichalcum Vein.

QUESTS
[Daily] Sprite level ranged adjusted from 94-100 (was 93-94).

BUG TRAP
A new bug tracking system has been introduced to help me track down and fix bugs in the game client. If your client crashes (not disconnects, but an actual crash), it will automatically generate a crash dump file and a report detailing what caused the crash and you will be asked if you wish to submit the information. Simply clicking the submit button will send the gathered information to my personal server and notify me so I can analyze it and hopefully fix the bug that caused it.

Please take a moment and actually submit your crashes and help me make the game client more stable. A crash dump is compressed automatically and is usually only a couple of megabytes in size so it should not take long for it to upload.

Final Note:
You will need to reorganise your interface when you login after this update.
