A rather large update is on it's way including a server move back to central Europe. Ping and latency should be better or comparable to the existing server for players in Europe and Asia and slightly higher for North America and Canada but latency/server lag should be reduced for all due to the better network, higher bandwidth and server hardware.

The update will take place on Friday 13th June (yep Friday the 13th, just typical) and I'm expecting it to take several hours to move the server and prepare the database for the new systems mentioned below. I'm not sure exactly what time it will happen but I'll jump online and give fair warning as soon as I know for sure.


FRIENDS
Completely rewritten Friends system.
Reject Friend Requests in Settings now actually works.
When somebody requests to be your friend, if you refuse you will no longer still be added to their friends list.
If you remove somebody from your friends list, you will also be removed from their friends list and vice versa.
Friends can now collect Relationship Points (RP) and this is displayed in the friends list with a heart and a number. RP is used for the new Couple system and is gained by using Flowers, Chocolates and other items available from the Flower Girl in a new map, Archelon Temple. To gain RP, just buy a Single Rose or Bunch of Roses and select your friend before using the item. You will both gain the RP.


FOES
Brand new Foes system.
A new option in the General menu is Foes that will open the Foes interface, containing a Blacklist and Revenge list.

Blacklist
Here you can add players that you wish to ignore. When a player is blacklisted you will no longer see their whisper, normal chat, shout, trade, megaphone, party chat, raid chat or guild chat messages and they will not be able to invite you to a party or raid. If they try to whisper or invite you they will receive a message telling them they are blacklisted.

To blacklist a player you can either open the Blacklist interface and click the Add button and then enter the players name, or you can right-click a player and choose Blacklist.

Revenge list
The Revenge list keeps a record of players that killed you in PvP enabled maps and where you lost Chaos Points. Deaths in battlefields and the Crystal Tower map are not recorded.


COUPLES
Brand new Couples system.
After gaining 6000 RP with a friend you can propose to them by right-clicking them and choosing Propose from the menu. You must have a Star of Love in your inventory which can be purchased from the Registrar in Archelon Temple.
If your friend accepts the proposal, you become a couple. Make sure you ask the friend first because you will lose the Star of Love even if they decline your proposal.
Couples gain a new title that can be used at the same time as existing titles, granting 10% Drops and Gold. Whichever title was activated last will display next to your name but the effects and bonuses of both titles will both be active.
Couples need to be maintained. If one of the couple doesn't log in for a long time, RP will start to decay and your relationship will break down. When the relationship fails, you will get a 5 day countdown until the couple is broken.
You can breakup the relationship by going to the Couples interface and clicking the Breakup button. If your partner accepts the breakup, you will instantly breakup, but if they refuse, you will go into the 5 day countdown.
During the 5 day countdown, you can use a Begging Letter, available from the Registrar in Archelon Temple, to apologise to your partner. If they accept, the countdown will be cancelled and the relationship will continue, otherwise after the 5 days the relationship will be broken and you will lose all RP with that friend and the [Lovers] title.




ITEMS
Level 85 Battlefield Armor and Weapons.
Weapons now have higher min/max damage or healing (matching CQ85 weapons) and in place of the -MP Consumption they now have some Physical Attack/All Attack/Magic Attack and in the case of healers, some additional Max HP. PvP Damage has been reduced from 20% to 10% to compensate. This should bring the PvP weapons into line with CQ85 weapons when it comes to player damage providing they are carded equally and used with the right combination of armor and accessories.
Armor 5-part set bonus now provides an additional 500 All Stats and the Physical Evasion on Boots has been replaced with Movement Speed. Armors should now provide much higher Physical and Magical Defense, Physical and Magical Protection and MP Recovery than before.

GATHERING
Obsidian Ore is now tradable.
Diamond Ore is Epic quality again due to player demand.
Chance of getting a Diamond Ore from an Ore Vein increased.
Chance of getting an Obsidian Ore from an Ore Vein increased slightly.
Chance of a Silver Treasure Chest containing a Diamond Ore increased to 10%.
Chance of a Silver Treasure Chest containing a Platinum Key increased to 10%.
Chance of a Platinum Treasure Chest containing a Diamond Ore increased to 50%.
Platinum Treasure Chest now has a 10% chance of containing an Obsidian Ore.


QUESTS
Chain Quest 75
"Scourge Lieutenants" no longer requires Frigid Queen Glaceon.
Insane Hideout kill requirement reduced to x5.

Chain Quest 85
Starting this chain of quests no longer requires completion of Chain Quest 75.
Combobulator quest item now drops for everyone with the quest "The Combobulator" when they kill Nereus, Enraged Sakun or Enraged Tundro.

Other
Nightfall Shelter Wanted Papers corrected to require level 65.


DUNGEONS
Magic Tower
Increased the experience gained from Magic Tower. The exp/sxp from each quests increased x2 and the exp/sxp quest reward option also increased by x2-x4.
Reduced damage of all monsters in Insane mode by ~20%.
Reduced HP of Radon, Saraswati, Arcturis, Typhoonus, Mushroom Guard, The Botanist and Ice Lich.

Golden Temple
All Modes
Reduced defense of monsters and bosses. Mostly reductions to Physical Defense.
Reduced accuracy of all monster skills. Insane mode is in line with other Insane dungeons now and Normal and Hard are much less.
Reduced critical chance of Tomb Protectors.
Reduced damage of High Priestess and changed her skills to be magic based.
Reduced knockback range of High Priestess.
Reduced ITD of High Priestess and Tomb Hawks.
Summoned Viper skill Venom duration reduced to 10s.
Typhoonus skill Twister dot damage reduced.


FIRE PIT
The Fire Pit event will now disable all enemy players skills for 15s when the chest is looted.


CLASS
Sharp Shooter
Penetrating Shot 3 cooldown reduced to 10s in line with 2nd job version.
Manticore Sting 3 cooldown reduced to 30s in line with 2nd job version.
Bomb Throw 2 detonation time corrected to 5s.
Conceal 3 no longer removed when damage taken.

Hunter
Bomb Throw detonation time corrected to 5s.
Timed Bomb 2 detonation time corrected to 5s.


SETTINGS
Added "Reject Examine" allowing you to block players from examining your items.


BUG FIXES
Fixes to the Sales Agent to hopefully stop the recent server crashes.
Semi-fixed a bug with Wave Blades enhancement glows on female Hybrids and Elves. It's still buggy, but at least it's on the weapon now and not on your arm. Unfortunately, the glow remains when you sit.
The recently used title section has been completely removed from the game due to bugs allowing players to keep titles they no longer own.


This list of changes is not final and is still under discussion with the GM team and things could change between now and the update.


KNOWN ISSUES
There are a few issues with these new systems, but nothing bad enough to stop the update going ahead today as planned.
Things I have noticed so far:

Players that learned new skills or added points to skills after 3am this morning (13th June) will notice they are gone/rolled back but their skill points are still used. You will need to reset your skill points and you can find a free Skill Reset Potion in your Giftbox (all players received one).

You sometimes need to open the Couple interface twice before it shows your couples titles in the dropdown list.

You can't remove somebody from your Revenge List - maybe just if they are not online, I need to check this one again.

If wearing a normal title and a couples titles, it will always display the text from the couples title - but tbh, I will probably leave it this way.

Friends are not announced when they log in like they used to be. I'll add this back later.

Sometimes the Add button on the friends interface doesn't work properly. After entering the players name it will just do nothing. Until it's fixed, use the Right-Click menu to add them instead.

Propose should only be allowed when inside the Archelon Temple but at the moment it's letting you use it anywhere. This is fine but be aware that the Ring Bearer mob spawns in the temple so if you want the rings, you should propose in the temple.

Some stats on the BF armors are wrong - magic hit etc. Will be fixed.

Finally, this is a brand new server/host so there may be a need to restart the server if there are any problems or I need to reconfigure anything.
