SEASONAL EVENT: HALLOWEEN
It's nearly Halloween in Arcana!
Denubu has arrived in Terminus with a daily quest to hunt down Jack'o'Lantern* in selected dungeons. Hunt down Jack'o'Lantern throughout the Halloween period and collect Jack's Dicky Pins and Candy Bats to trade back to Denubu for Jack's Wheels mounts.

Jack'o'Lantern can also drop DNA that can be combined by Avery in Terminus into your very own Jack'o'Lantern battle pet. This semi-ranged magic melee pet can attack upto 6 targets at a time upto 6m away with every attack with a chance of reducing their All Defense!

Denubu also has a Halloween Store selling food, costumes and mounts, the Pet Exchange Store where you can exchange your collected Pet Summoning Pieces for pet summoning cards, Halloween quests, and free 1 hour Broomstick Hire.

Pumpkins have been placed all over Terminus and can be picked on the hour, every hour, for 5 minutes. Turn up your volume and listen out for the cackling witch and get picking and find the Pet Summoning Pieces and Candy Bats.

Free Broomstick mount hire is available in Terminus Center allowing you to try before you buy one of these amazing mounts with your Candy Bats. Just grab a broom and use it for free for 1 hour.

Dimensional portals are being sighted all over Arcana with ghouls and zombies pouring through. Defeat them and collect even more Candy Bats.

SERVER BUFFS
Sat 15th October - Sun 31st October: 5% Bonus Damage to Undead/Humanoid/Spirit monsters.
Sat 22nd October - Sun 23rd October: x2 Reputation, x2 Experience and Skill Experience.
Sat 29th October - Sun 31st October: x3 Experience and Skill Experience, x1.5 Monster Item Luck, x1.5 Monster Gold, x1.5 Battlefield Points.

Seasonal event buffs are also being awarded every time a world boss is killed - everyone gets a buff!

Halloween in Arcana begins on the 13th October and runs until the 31st of October


MOOLAH TOPUP
From now until the end of October there is a 30% bonus to all Moolah Topups, including Mobile Phone payments. The additional 30% bonus Moolah will be included automatically in the amounts you see at the Topup page.

The Shopping Mall has been updated with Halloween related costumes, costume accessories, mounts, battle pets, mantle schematics, and weapon schematics, all with a 10% discount applied.

Two new mantle schematics have been added to the store.

WEAPON SCHEMATICS
The Necromancer/Voodoo weapon schematics, usually only available from Catacombs dungeon, are once again available to purchased from the store during the Halloween period.


MOUNTS

Older Halloween Mounts
All of the mounts added in previous Halloween updates are once again available from the store, including Jack's Cars, Witches Broom, and Ghost Bats.


COSTUMES
Halloween themed costumes are available to buy from the store, including Halloween Hat and Costume, Gothic Mini Top Hat and Costume, Mummy Hat and Costume, Bat Cat Backpacks, Cruxifixes, Devilish Wings, Blue Batty, Creepy Doll, Skull Sweeper, and Pumpkin Balloon.


PETS
Halloween themed battle pets are available from the store including Mumu's Pet, Eye Batty, Reaper, Pumpkin Boy, Bones, Arachni, Death, Wraith, and Jack.




OTHER UPDATES
Most of the following fixes and changes were made after leveling up a few new characters to see how the leveling process flows now. This is what I have found so far while leveling up to 70ish and more changes will come in the next update(s).

GRAPHICS
Particle Effects

Corrected an issue with some particle effects (glows, smoke etc.) on mounts, portals, NPCs etc. that was causing them to turn opaque white instead of their correct transparent colours. It was quite noticeable on some mounts including Clouds, Kitsunes etc.

Missing Textures
Corrected the missing textures on several gatherable quest items throughout the game.
Note: If you ever see bright pink areas on a game model or effect, it's likely a missing texture. Just let me know if you find any so I can add them.

INTERFACE
Monster Quest Indicators

While leveling I really appreciated the monster quest indicator (the yellow ! icon next to monster names when you have a quest to hunt them) and missed it a lot when I was doing collection type quests, so they have been improved to also show when a monster drops items required by your quests.

If you have a quest to hunt the monster (defeat it), it will display an exclamation mark sign.

Pet Skill Window
Corrected a display glitch with the pet skill icon when you replace an existing skill with another. The old one would show up again in the skills window after moving map or even after a relog.

Hero Unit Frame
Corrected an issue with the class icon not updating after completing a class change quest.

Target of Target Unit Frame
Corrected the issue of sometimes being unable to click the Target of Target window to get the new target. It would happen if there was a targetable object behind it, like a monster, NPC, pet or player. This would happen most often on bosses due to their large size.

When your target doesn't have a target, the Target of Target Unit Frame will now display "No Target" instead of disappearing.

Inventory Window
Corrected the issue of unusable items (icon shaded red) losing their shading when you get dismounted from your mount.

Hero Window
Corrected the missing lock icons on locked Wearing Card slots.

Achievements Window
Corrected the achievements window being empty after teleporting to another map or moving to or from a dungeon or battlefield.


ASSISTANT SKILLS
Alchemy

The Apprentice test quest has been changed to require you to craft HP Regeneration II potions instead of potions that require a recipe and ingredients from the battlefield vendor for Battlefield Points.

Cardmaster
The Apprentice test quest has been changed to require you to craft x2 Ability Wearing Card I instead of x1 S Ability Wearing Card I. This recipe is available to purchase with Coin from Tobias the Grand in Terminus, instead of requiring a recipe that requires Battlefield Points, or just simply buying the card itself from Tobias.


ITEMS
Item Score

The Physical and Magic Defense on armor, Physical/Magic Attack on weapons, and Healing on weapons is now taken into account in the item's Item Score that you see in it's tooltip.

In the case of staves/rods, if it's predominantly a healer weapon the score comes from the Healing, otherwise the Attack.

This should make it much clearer when an item is an upgrade, especially on lower level items where in some cases an item is much much better due to the defense/attack/healing it gives but previously had a lower score due to not taking this into account and the score coming only from the additional stats it provides.

You will notice your Hero Rating has increased in this update due to the Item Score of your equipped items increasing.

Trophy Armor
Modified the stats of some of the level 60-75 Trophy armor as some of the mail sets had identical stats on almost all pieces of both sets, so they have been modified so that one set is more suited to ranged classes as it should have been to begin with, and some unnecessary defensive stats have been replaced with more suitable offensive stats to assist in the leveling process.

Coin
Improved the drop chance of Coin that is required to purchase Assistant Skill recipes. It was too difficult to obtain at lower levels which prevented you from leveling up your assistant skills.


TUTORIAL
Missing Clown Cats!

The Clown Cats have returned to the Tutorial.


MAPS
Colossus Shadowfields

This map will very likely be completely changed sometime in the future, but until then the following changes have been made:

This map is no longer classified as a PK map. Players can enter safely to continue their leveling after finishing Ursadine Highlands.

Monsters in this map (and their related Wanted quests) had their level reduced to between 70-72 to bridge the gap between Ursadine Highlands and Sandfall Desert as there was quite a big slow down to the leveling process after finishing Ursadine due to monster levels and quest requirements in Sandfall Desert.

These monsters remain Elites with a bonus to their health, damage, and defenses, but to a much lesser extent than before. The EXP/SXP gained from defeating them remains as it was or slightly higher, but since this map is no longer classified as a PK map there is no 30% bonus to EXP/SXP anymore.

Due to the layout of this map and how the monsters are a bit mixed instead of in packs like most other maps, the Wanted quest kill count has been reduced from 40 to 25 kills.

You can now purchase Colossus Shadowfields - Teleport Scroll from Kristin in Terminus and Teleporter/Rapid Teleporter will now allow you to port to the map at specified locations.


MONSTERS
Treasure Bandits

Improved the chance that Treasure Bandits will drop armor or weapons at lower levels.

Slowed down the run speed of bandits of level 35+, quite considerably at the higher levels.

Hedorah
The Sacrificial Crystal will now despawn after 60s, triggering Earthquake just as if you had destroyed the crystal. It will no longer be possible to have multiple crystals spawned at once and the boss will no longer get bugged while trying to find and target one.

Sraclone
Modified the Dark Tradeoff phase skill that targets a random player and does damage around them (red circle that follows) so that it no longer follows the player, as it could sometimes cause the client to crash. It now targets the area they are currently at so it can be avoided, but the damage has been increased considerably.

Namazu
Modified the Thunder Chunder skill so that it no longer follows the targeted random player, so it can now be avoided, but the damage has been increased considerably.

Livid
Reduced the amount of Rabid Bunnies that Livid spawns during the encounter by half and they will now be spawned a bit further away and more spread out.

Veterans
Reduced the defense of level 74+ Veteran monsters.
Increased the EXP/SXP of Veteran monsters of level 55-71 quite considerably.


QUESTS
Low Level Quests

Reworked the level requirements of a few beginner quests in Terminus to streamline things a little. Some unnecessary daily quests were becoming available and causing you to run around a little too much instead of focusing on the main line of quests that get you out of Terminus.

NPC Quest Dialogue
Fixed the incorrect dialogue of several quests given by Reien in Nightfall Shelter.

Corrected the dodgy translation of several Wood Garden and Hidden Cavern 2F quests.

Quest Progress Text
The size of the scrolling notification text when you defeat a monster for a quest or collect a required item has been increased in size and no longer cuts off long monster or item names.

Nightfall Shelter
[Elite] Jack's Identity rewards improved to level 70 Unique quality rings.
The Evil Witch rewards improved to level 70 unique quality bracelets.

Ursadine Highlands
[Wanted] Berserker Bunny had it's kill count corrected from 15 to 30.

Colossus Shadowfields
[Wanted] quests that required you to hunt 40 monsters now require 25 monsters.

[Wanted] Elite Berserker Bunny EXP/SXP reward increased.

Sandfall Desert
Abysmal Shore
Pandan Cove
Pandahama Island
Sandstorm Desert
Tainted Fen

Port Plunder

[Wanted] quests that required you to hunt 40 monsters now require 30 monsters.

Sandfall Desert
[Daily] Enemy on our Doorstep level changed from 77 to 75 (now available at level 73).
[Daily] Flying Delicacy available from Wynn level changed from 77 to 74 (now available at level 72).


TITLES
Corrected the names and/or tooltips of several titles including Crystalisk Conqueror that was actually a title awarded for defeating Radon in Wood Garden.


DUNGEONS
Garden of Baphomet

The chance of Baphomet dropping Epic armor has been increased for level 65, 75 and 85, and slightly for level 95+.

Magic Tower
Decreased the damage and increased the skill cooldowns of some monsters in Magic Tower Normal and Hard modes.


BATTLEFIELDS
Flagmatch/CTF

The client will no longer incorrectly display the "Dismount Fades" message when dropping or hoisting a flag.

Molten Arena
The Moral Rise buff that activates while in your base now also grants MP every 3 seconds.

The Molten Heal buff now also increases your Max MP to full.


WORLD PVP
Prison

Corrected the issue of black named Wanted players not getting sent to prison when defeated by players or their pets.

Corrected the issue of black named Wanted players avoiding prison when resurrected by another player.

Just so it's clear, this is how it works:
If you fall below -200 Karma you are considered Wanted, your name will turn black, and there will be a server announcement saying you are wanted.

If you are defeated by a player or their pet on any Orange or Red named map you get sent to prison. This excludes Fire Pit and the low level Green named maps where all PK is disabled, like Logging Area, Shebuz etc.

If you are defeated by an NPC or monster in Terminus you go to prison.
If you are defeated by a monster on any other map or dungeon, you do not go to prison.


CLASS SKILLS

I will consider other suggestions in this post and it's comments but I'm not really convinced on most of them right now.
