Or, allow runner ups to get consolation points to buy a key so even if you're not that geared, if you work hard you can still get it. (I guess it's like rep points)

Making it a party based thing is an option, but do we really need it? We already have a lot of pure pve party content (dungeons). However, I do kind of like the idea of the winning party getting access to an exclusive shop that needs a new currency that could be gathered and sold by anyone - it's a nice idea and would not really be too difficult for me to implement - most of what is needed is already part of the game in some form or another and could easily be adapted.
Not sure about that +11 enhancement suggestion though. If I *ever* was to increase the max enhancement from +10, I would make it very difficult, and I think players would get frustrated with it. Basically, I don't really want to go above +10 because of the way it scales the defense/attack of items.
There are plenty of other options for the shop though. There are lots of unused accessory enhancements giving different stats. There could be some titles, some schematics etc. etc.
Gold as rewards I'm not sure about. I think the players that would be capable of winning something like this probably wouldn't have a shortage of gold.
The key being tradable - absolutely would not be an option. I don't really believe items won in events like this should be tradable. We would end up with the same strong team or guild (depending on what we decide on, if any) farming it to sell the key instead of giving other teams/guilds a chance once they obtain the items they wanted from the shop. However, some way to obtain the key after a certain amount of time could be an option. Maybe consolation prize for 2nd and 3rd place could be a fragment - collect 3 to make a key or something along those lines.
I'm not completely sold on the idea but keep the ideas about it coming. The more interest people have in it the more likely I am to work on it.
