Most of the skills in the game give a tad bit better damage than normal attacking while some skills have added effects such as debuffs and etc. So yeah, Iris is pretty much a skill-spamming game. Crit and attack speed affects them as well as normal attacking too. Most physical-type's normal attacks aren't that bad, don't worry. Your gear affects your damage output much more than a skills bonus damage can though. However, magical normal attacks are quite useless.
